2025 Prep Redzone Michigan Draft Special

<p>Happy Draft Day! I don't know about you, but for me, this is one of the best weekends of the year. </p>   <p>This is a massive 3-round, 102-pick draft of the best that Michigan has to offer. Before all else, this is a fun article. Not meant to give any deep evaluation or ranking- just a fun exercise. </p>   <p>Without further ado, here's a full 3-round mock draft of the best players in Michigan! </p>   <p class="has-small-font-size"><em>This is a massive article, and best viewed on a desktop/laptop. It's obvious to anyone that the Titans need a new franchise QB, and they're betting that [player_tooltip player_id='1111167' first='Donald' last='Tabron II'] is the guy for the job. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#2 - Cleveland Browns select [player_tooltip player_id='212358' first='Corey' last='Sadler'] Jr.</h2>   <p>Defensive Back / ATH | Cass Tech</p>   <p>Many similarities to Travis Hunter here. A multipositional athlete who can do it all. Also one of if not the most pro-ready prospect in the draft. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#3 - New York Giants select [player_tooltip player_id='568194' first='Gregory' last='Patrick']</h2>   <p>Offensive Tackle | Portage Northern </p>   <p>The #1 tackle in the draft heads to the Giants. This is no Evan Neal- confidence couldn't be higher for [player_tooltip player_id='568194' first='Gregory' last='Patrick'] to step in and make an immediate impact. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#4 - New England Patriots select [player_tooltip player_id='547739' first='Dakota' last='Guerrant']</h2>   <p>Wide Receiver | Harper Woods</p>   <p>A no-brainer to get QB Drake Maye an elite weapon. The Patriots have needed a true WR1 for some time, and they got one in [player_tooltip player_id='547739' first='Dakota' last='Guerrant']. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#5 - Jacksonville Jaguars select Recarter Kitchen</h2>   <p>EDGE | Muskegon</p>   <p>The Jags will take any help they can get on the defensive line. Recarter Kitchen isn't just help- he's a potential superstar. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#6 - Las Vegas Raiders select [player_tooltip player_id='318570' first='Marcello' last='Vitti']</h2>   <p>Defensive Back | Divine Child</p>   <p>Huge value for a team with a lot of holes. You can plug Marcello into several different areas and get great output. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#7 - New York Jets select [player_tooltip player_id='1113047' first='Holden' last='Niemi'] </h2>   <p>Tight End | Dexter</p>   <p>A great safety blanket for new QB Justin Fields. Also a great all-around TE. Can block, catch, and make the occasional big play downfield. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#8 - Carolina Panthers select [player_tooltip player_id='557747' first='Khalief' last='Canty']</h2>   <p>Offensive Line | Cass Tech</p>   <p>When Head Coach Dave Canales was hired, he stated that the Carolina Panthers would be a team that leaned heavily on the run game. This is a great move which raises the floor of the RBs currently on the roster. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#9 - New Orleans Saints select [player_tooltip player_id='568192' first='Tommy' last='Carr']</h2>   <p>Quarterback | Saline</p>   <p>Carr vs. Carr QB battle incoming in New Orleans. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#10 - Chicago Bears select [player_tooltip player_id='1148693' first='Kory' last='Amachree']</h2>   <p>Running Back | Haslett</p>   <p>Perhaps the first big "reach" of the night. This makes a ton of sense for Chicago, though. [player_tooltip player_id='1148693' first='Kory' last='Amachree'] and Jahmyr Gibbs share a lot of similarities- Kory fits perfectly in the Ben Johnson offense. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#11 - San Francisco 49ers select [player_tooltip player_id='212356' first='Ben' last='Nichols']</h2>   <p>Offensive Tackle | Davison</p>   <p>The 49ers are facing uncertainty at several positions. Heck, Trent Williams isn't getting any younger. A great pick for what could be a soft rebuild for the 49ers. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#12 - Dallas Cowboys select [player_tooltip player_id='1326375' first='Lincoln' last='Keyes'] </h2>   <p>Tight End | Saline</p>   <p>The best vertical threat TE going to a team that A. Needs a TE and B. Needs more weapons. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#13 - Miami Dolphins select [player_tooltip player_id='1246804' first='Sullivan' last='Garvin']</h2>   <p>Offensive Tackle | Allegan</p>   <p>The Dolphins are in desperate need of a tackle. Sully should be able to step in and be Tua's best new bodyguard. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#14 - Indianapolis Colts select [player_tooltip player_id='1167239' first='Deandre' last='Bidden']</h2>   <p>Wide Receiver | Harper Woods</p>   <p>Anthony Richardson may or may not be the answer at Quarterback. Though one of the best ways to help a struggling young QB is to surround him with weapons. Big upgrade to the Indy receiving core. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#15 - Atlanta Falcons select [player_tooltip player_id='1157440' first='Elijah' last='Goins']</h2>   <p>Defensive Back | Dakota</p>   <p>The Falcons have tried a lot to fix their secondary. Signing Jessie Bates was a home run, but signing guys like Jeff Okudah didn't work out too well. This is a great pick that should instantly upgrade the Atlanta defense. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#16 - Arizona Cardinals select [player_tooltip player_id='563425' first='Izaiah' last='Wright']</h2>   <p>Running Back | Carlson</p>   <p>The two lead backs currently on the Cardinals are James Connor and Trey Benson- two injury-prone players. This pick makes the RB room younger, and provides much higher upside. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#17 - Cincinnati Bengals select [player_tooltip player_id='566881' first='Nathan' last='Gersh']</h2>   <p>Linebacker | Dexter</p>   <p>Joe Burrow's greatest enemy last year was his own defense. In real life, the Bengals need to upgrade their defense. In this draft, they upgrade their defense immediately with the best off-ball linebacker in the class. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#18 - Seattle Seahawks select [player_tooltip player_id='1615706' first='Jameer' last='Henry']</h2>   <p>Offensive Line | Detroit MLK</p>   <p>Can't go wrong with more offensive linemen, especially when you have a great RB in Kenneth Walker. Again, offense linemen raise the floor of the run game. Not to mention the importance of protecting Sam Darnold. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#19 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers select [player_tooltip player_id='977483' first='Jerrimiah' last='Cross']</h2>   <p>Wide Receiver | River Rouge</p>   <p>Immediate upgrade to the WR room and a potential successor to Mike Evans. A perfect player for the Bucs offense IMO. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#20 - Denver Broncos select [player_tooltip player_id='1246338' first='Darrius' last='Summers'] </h2>   <p>Defensive End | Cass Tech </p>   <p>A lot of buzz for Denver to draft a defensive lineman. It makes a lot of sense. [player_tooltip player_id='1246338' first='Darrius' last='Summers'] provides some ammo to go after Mahomes and Herbert. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#21 - Pittsburgh Steelers select [player_tooltip player_id='944415' first='Drew' last='Sheridan']</h2>   <p>Quarterback | Divine Child</p>   <p>Move over Aaron Rodgers, [player_tooltip player_id='944415' first='Drew' last='Sheridan'] fell into our lap with pick #21. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#22 - Los Angeles Chargers select [player_tooltip player_id='1233561' first='Darryl' last='Flemister']</h2>   <p>Defensive Back | Detroit MLK</p>   <p>Provides a ton of versatility for the Chargers. In an offense that loves to ground and pound, Darryl could be a speed-in-space guy. On a defense that has some holes, Darryl can immediately step in and help in the secondary. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#23 - Green Bay Packers select [player_tooltip player_id='284008' first='Camari' last='Patterson']</h2>   <p>Defensive Back | St. Mary's</p>   <p>The Packers need secondary help. [player_tooltip player_id='284008' first='Camari' last='Patterson'] is a high-floor player that can get the job done. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#24 - Minnesota Vikings select [player_tooltip player_id='206418' first='Jayden' last='Terry']</h2>   <p>Running Back | Grandville</p>   <p>A burner of an RB for Minnesota. Much-needed RB to run alongside he aging [player_tooltip player_id='1628796' first='Aaron' last='Jones']. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#25 - Houston Texans select [player_tooltip player_id='1148715' first='Samson' last='Gash']</h2>   <p>Wide Receiver | Detroit Catholic Central</p>   <p>Gash just seems like a Texan. With Stefon Diggs out and Tank Dell still recovering from injury, Samson provides an instant upgrade while also giving the Texans a tad bit of depth. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#26 - Los Angeles Rams select [player_tooltip player_id='119260' first='Jaxson' last='Dosh']</h2>   <p>Quarterback | Davison</p>   <p>A tiny bit more raw than other QBs but a higher upside. Sit behind Stafford for a year, then let Jaxson loose. I unironically think [player_tooltip player_id='119260' first='Jaxson' last='Dosh'] would be perfect for the Sean McVay offense. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#27 - Baltimore Ravens select [player_tooltip player_id='568140' first='Amir' last='Morelan']</h2>   <p>Defensive Back | Port Huron Northern</p>   <p>Seems like a Raven. Can FLY around. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#28 - Detroit Lions select [player_tooltip player_id='212357' first='Benjamin' last='Eziuka']</h2>   <p>Offensive Guard | Detroit Catholic Central</p>   <p>Detroit has a ton of offensive weapons, but those weapons can't do much without a good offensive line. There's a big ol' hole at Guard, and Benjamin immediately patches it while giving the Lions some much-needed OL depth. <br>But really, if Brad Holmes goes with an offensive lineman tonight, I would be very happy. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#29 - Washington Commanders select [player_tooltip player_id='567941' first='Marcus' last='Jennings']</h2>   <p>Safety | Cass Tech</p>   <p>Washington could have gone a number of ways with this selection. At the end of the day, Safety is a need, and there's one dang good safety who is also one of the best players avalible. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#30 - Buffalo Bills select [player_tooltip player_id='1290773' first='Brian' last='Stovall Jr']</h2>   <p>Outside Linebacker | Cass Tech</p>   <p>If I'm Buffalo, I'm making a point to upgrade the defense. They may still be heavy favorites to win the AFC East, but let's be real, they're going to go up against Baltimore and/or Kansas City again in the postseason. They need to find ways to stop the highest-powered offenses. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#31 - Kansas City Chiefs select [player_tooltip player_id='1080316' first='Owen' last='Winder']</h2>   <p>Offensive Line | Dexter</p>   <p>A smart pick that protects your 500 million dollar Quarterback. A great investment. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#32 - Philadelphia Eagles select [player_tooltip player_id='566981' first='Jack' last='Janda']</h2>   <p>Tight End | Detroit Catholic Central </p>   <p>Just imagine the Eagles with an elite TE. Jack is a pretty well-rounded TE who should be able to step onto the field and provide immediate impact for a team with sky-high expectations. </p>   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Round 2</h2>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#33 - Cleveland Browns select [player_tooltip player_id='909904' first='Jake' last='Morrow']</h2>   <p>Quarterback | Grand Blanc</p>   <p>Jake just seems like a Brown. A pro-style passer who can learn from the vets in the building. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#34 - New York Giants select [player_tooltip player_id='570285' first='Kayd' last='Coffman']</h2>   <p>Quarterback | East Kentwood</p>   <p>Giants sprint to the podium to turn in this pick. A very promising pro-style passer who could be the future of the franchise. Kayd would look great in Giants colors! </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#35 - Tennessee Titans select [player_tooltip player_id='489268' first='Chad' last='Willis']</h2>   <p>Wide Receiver | St. Mary's</p>   <p>Giving a rookie QB weapons is never a bad idea. [player_tooltip player_id='489268' first='Chad' last='Willis'] provides a ton of athleticism and can be plugged in pretty much wherever you want. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#36 - Jacksonville Jaguars select [player_tooltip player_id='568196' first='Charlie' last='Jilek']</h2>   <p>Tight End | Portage Central</p>   <p>The Jags need high upside players. They get a great one in [player_tooltip player_id='568196' first='Charlie' last='Jilek']. Tough, physical, etc. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#37 - Las Vegas Raiders select [player_tooltip player_id='1327723' first='Andrew' last='Willemsen']</h2>   <p>Running Back | Grand Haven</p>   <p>Another run to the podium pick. Pete Carroll loves to run the football, and the Raiders don't have a great RB room. Andrew provides a ton of much-needed speed and youth.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#38 - New England Patriots select [player_tooltip player_id='568100' first='Brody' last='Sink']</h2>   <p>Linebacker | Notre Dame Prep</p>   <p>Safety, Linebacker, whatever Brody is playing, he's an upgrade to the Patriots defense. A Mike Vrabel kind of guy. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#39 - Chicago Bears select [player_tooltip player_id='1277061' first='Jack' last='Carlson']</h2>   <p>EDGE | Brighton</p>   <p>A very high upside EDGE with perfect measurables. A pick similar to Green Bay selecting Lukas Van Ness a few years ago. A little raw, but a hard worker who will develop and contribute in the near future. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#40 - New Orleans Saints select Charles Britton III</h2>   <p>Wide Receiver | Belleville</p>   <p>I'm pairing a lot of newly drafted QBs with great receivers. This is no different. A good vertical threat who can somewhat step into that Michael Thomas role. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#41 - Chicago Bears select [player_tooltip player_id='977460' first='Tyler' last='Trusel']</h2>   <p>Wide Receiver | Brother Rice </p>   <p>You can't argue much with giving Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams another new weapon. I thought about going O-Line here, but I think they addressed that area decently in free agency. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#42 - New York Jets select [player_tooltip player_id='212645' first='Grayson' last='Thurston']</h2>   <p>Quarterback | De La Salle</p>   <p>I feel like the Jets think Justin Fields is their guy, but the Jets also thought the same thing about 15 other guys. A pick that I think would be a smart one. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#43 - San Francisco 49ers select [player_tooltip player_id='474868' first='Anthony' last='Cartwright III']</h2>   <p>Tight End | Detroit Country Day</p>   <p>George Kittle had a surprisingly amazing 2024 season, but age isn't on his side. Plus, most NFL teams prefer to have more than one solid Tight End. A great move to solidify the offense a little more. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#44 - Dallas Cowboys select [player_tooltip player_id='1573500' first='Cameron' last='Payne']</h2>   <p>Running Back | Byron Center</p>   <p>RB was a gaping hole last season. [player_tooltip player_id='1573500' first='Cameron' last='Payne'] would be an instant upgrade. No-brainer pick. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#45 - Indianapolis Colts select [player_tooltip player_id='1290688' first='Samarae' last='Stephens']</h2>   <p>Defensive Back | Detroit MLK</p>   <p>Colts get some much needed talent and physicality in their secondary. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#46 - Atlanta Falcons select [player_tooltip player_id='510691' first='Dawoud' last='Issa']</h2>   <p>EDGE | Saline</p>   <p>Falcons need to upgrade their D-Line. Issa provides some great speed as a 3rd-down pass rusher. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#47 - Arizona Cardinals select [player_tooltip player_id='212359' first='Isaiah' last='Harris']</h2>   <p>EDGE | Saline</p>   <p>Another EDGE from Saline off the board. Similar to Issa, provides some explosiveness and bend for those 3rd-down passing situations. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#48 - Miami Dolphins select [player_tooltip player_id='568183' first='Eli' last='Macauley']</h2>   <p>Center | Forest Hills Northern</p>   <p>Can't stress enough how important it is to protect Tua. The Dolphins get arguably the best interior offensive lineman in the draft, and immediately upgrade a position of need. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#49 - Cincinnati Bengals select [player_tooltip player_id='568145' first='George' last='Duggins']</h2>   <p>Safety | Mona Shores</p>   <p>Bengals defense was abhorrent last season. George will be able to step in, cover a lot of ground, and be a physical presence. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#50 - Seattle Seahawks select [player_tooltip player_id='1233478' first='Eric' last='Anderson']</h2>   <p>Offensive Line | Detroit Catholic Central</p>   <p>You know what, why not double-dip at offensive line? Again, raises the floor of the entire offense, and provides protection against some of the great young DL talent in the NFC West. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#51 - Denver Broncos select [player_tooltip player_id='1226338' first='Michael' last='Dukes']</h2>   <p>Running Back | Detroit MLK</p>   <p>Broncos elect to go defense first, and fill a big need at Running Back here. Dukes provides a ton of speed and elusiveness. Much needed. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#52 - Seattle Seahawks select [player_tooltip player_id='566975' first='David' last='Williams']</h2>   <p>Defensive Back | De La Salle</p>   <p>A defensive back who shot up the board after a great combine. Seriously, David's testing numbers are phenomenal. A perfect DB to play alongside Devon Witherspoon. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#53 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers select [player_tooltip player_id='1157446' first='Collin' last='Sumpter'] </h2>   <p>Linebacker | Cass Tech</p>   <p>Another major position of need selection. Sumpter will help the Bucs go from an average rushing defense to a great rushing defense. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#54 - Green Bay Packers select [player_tooltip player_id='1615750' first='Jordan' last='Shabazz']</h2>   <p>Running Back | Forest Hills Eastern</p>   <p>A player who shares a lot of similarities with Josh Jacobs. A strong north-south runner who is great at making the most of his touches. Provides depth, security, and youth to the position. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#55 - Los Angeles Chargers select [player_tooltip player_id='1529533' first='Luke' last='Brodnicki']</h2>   <p>Defensive Line | Hudsonville</p>   <p>Harbaugh-led teams love to be physical up front. Luke provides needed depth and an upgrade to the D-Line. Especially in a division with Patrick Mahomes and possibly Ashton Jeanty. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#56 - Buffalo Bills select [player_tooltip player_id='1148708' first='Jeremiah' last='Benson']</h2>   <p>Defensive Line | West Bloomfield</p>   <p>The Bills could be "one player away". Jeremiah is a high-rising player who could be that missing piece. I especially like that he's an athletic defensive tackle- gives a higher chance to sack guys like Jackson and Mahomes. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#57 - Carolina Panthers select [player_tooltip player_id='1298774' first='Derrick' last='Taylor']</h2>   <p>Defensive Back | Belleville</p>   <p>A speedy DB that immediately bolsters the Panthers' defense. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#58 - Houston Texans select [player_tooltip player_id='1613771' first='Ryan' last='Rocheleau']</h2>   <p>Tight End | Lake Orion</p>   <p>Imagine an elite receiving Tight End in the Houston offense. Gives Stroud a safety blanket and a potential top-tier red-zone threat. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#59 - Baltimore Ravens select [player_tooltip player_id='528080' first='Deondre' last='Hill']</h2>   <p>Linebacker | Brother Rice</p>   <p>Currently a little raw, but the sky's the limit. Ravens love this type of guy- and guess what? They usually work out. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#60 - Detroit Lions select [player_tooltip player_id='1522332' first='Antonio' last='Solares-Vitti']</h2>   <p>Defensive Back | Divine Child</p>   <p>A big DB who can excel in man coverage. Provides much-needed depth for a secondary that seems to get banged up yearly. High upside pick. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#61 - Washington Commanders select [player_tooltip player_id='1613940' first='Shaun' last='Reid']</h2>   <p>Defensive Line | Belleville</p>   <p>D-Line is considered a need for Washington, and really, not many teams can go wrong with D-Line in the second round. One of the most pro-ready prospects who should help Washington immediately. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#62 - Buffalo Bills select [player_tooltip player_id='1148719' first='Luke' last='Ahern']</h2>   <p>Safety | Rockford</p>   <p>A safety who you know will be aggressive against the run. Should immediately be a good rotational player for the Bills. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#63 - Kansas City Chiefs select Jeremiah Aaron</h2>   <p>Running Back | Dakota</p>   <p>KC has taken a few swings at Running Backs over the years. While they haven't missed contact, they haven't hit a home run either. This is another swing at a high-upside elusive RB- hopefully it's a home run. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#64 - Philadelphia Eagles select [player_tooltip player_id='1399506' first='Luke' last='Perkins']</h2>   <p>Linebacker | Milford</p>   <p>Hitting another need here. When you've just won the Super Bowl, I think you can take a swing at a positional need that could help you out sooner rather than later. Could not let Luke slip into the 3rd round. </p>   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Round 3</h2>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#65 - New York Giants select [player_tooltip player_id='402064' first='Tomarion' last='Steward']</h2>   <p>Running Back | Mona Shores</p>   <p>An efficent power RB is just what the New York Giants need. Tomarion + Kayd + Gregory = a completely revamped offense. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#66 - Kansas City Chiefs select [player_tooltip player_id='563430' first='Traverse' last='Moore']</h2>   <p>ATH | DeWitt</p>   <p>KC gets a ton of value picking at #66 and #63. Here, they pick up an offensive weapon that can do it all. It may take some time for Traverse to establish his role, but once he does, look out. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#67 - Cleveland Browns select Pavel Mccutcheon </h2>   <p>Offensive Tackle | Marquette</p>   <p>Like the Giants, the Browns look to completely revamp their offense with this final offensive selection. Mccutcheon provides needed protection for their new Pro-Style QB. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#68 - Las Vegas Raiders select [player_tooltip player_id='563422' first='Damion' last='King']</h2>   <p>Wide Receiver | De La Salle</p>   <p>Another poorly-performing 2024 team attempting to transform its offense for 2025 and beyond. Damion is a great route-runner who can play the JSN role for Geno Smith. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">#69 - New England Patriots select [player_tooltip player_id='566878' first='Braylon' last='Burnside']</h2>   <p>Wide Receiver | Utica Eisenhower</p>   <p>Similar to the pick before, Braylon is an excellent route runner. Noah is a mauler, especially excelling in the run game.
