was just as sharp as I had hoped. Carr overcame a shaky start to show off his whole skill set by the end of the game. He had some great throws as he stood tall in the pocket and delivered some strikes, and also had multiple plays that showed off some athleticism. He was able to scramble, keep his eyes downfield and throw on the run accurately and timely. His poise and confidence was infectious to the rest of the team. I am fully confident that Carr will be great at the next level. Miami (OH) got a good one!

IQ.
Tommy is a smart football player, much like his brother CJ.
Pre-play, Tommy does an excellent job scanning the field, trying to predict what the defense is up to. I even watched Tommy change a play at the line of scrimmage- something VERY rare at the high school level. I also really like Tommy’s decision-making. There are times when Tommy holds onto the ball for a tad too long, but even when the play breaks down and he’s forced outside the pocket, he keeps his eyes downfield and attempts to direct traffic.
That said, I expect Tommy to thrive at Miami.

is an extremely talented quarterback that is heading into 2025 with a loaded squad and the tools within himself to take Saline on a deep run. He’s incredibly poised and present in the pocket, sports some superb maneuverability in the pocket. The Miami (OH) commit has the leadership qualities and pure talent to be special.
In the district finals, I was able to watch Carr maneuver against a tough Belleville squad and still show some really good signs. At times where his wideouts were covered or the pocket broke down, he was still able to extend plays and make something happen. Carr is rightfully one of the top prospects in the 2026 class.

To be completely honest, Tommy will very likely be the #1 QB when the Class of 2026 update drops. Here’s a bit of why.
- The best processing ability in this class
- Great off-schedule
- Far better pocket presence than most
- Consistent mechanics, consistent accuracy
- Good athlete, not enough to be a dual-threat
- I put a LOT of stock into Tommy’s IQ

Still young but potential can be through the roof especially with trainer Brad Maendler. Thin frame, needs to add bulk. Good touch on the deep ball. Release is quick, ball comes off his hand hot, clean footwork and decent throwing off-platform. Brother of Notre Dame QB C.J. Carr.

My current #1 Quarterback in the class of 2026 is
Tommy Carr

. In short, he’s the best all-around QB in the class. Plus, watching him closely against Dexter, I feel I have a good evaluation of Tommy. Here’s how I grade him
Arm Talent: A-
Accuracy: B+
Processing: A
Playmaking: B+
Athleticism: B-
Mechanics: B+
Obviously, some very good grades. I graded his athleticism the lowest, just because he isn’t someone who’s a danger to rush 100 yards per game. Not a bad thing, just not a true dual-threat. Processing is Tommy’s best trait- he’s a student of the game and is such a good pocket passer. I also think his pocket presence is quite good.
