Watched Nolan against Dexter week 2 of 2024. Dexter is a good team, and Nolan made a lot of mistakes. Most notably, he was very hesitant on a lot of run plays. Struggled to work downhill and help tackle. His tape is good though, showing solid ball skills and able to read and react quickly. Just needs more reps. Also, if he really is as athletic as I’ve been told he is, he’ll be successful in college.

I’ve always really liked Nolan’s tape. The thing is, it’s taken him a little while to find a solid position on either side of the ball. I’ve heard a lot about Nolan’s athleticism and football instincts. Whatever position Nolan ends up playing today (safety?), I’m very interested to see how quick he plays.

Nolan has been a very underrated player for a very long time. After talking with a few coaches, I’m higher on Nolan than ever. Ever since Nolan hit high school, he’s been an above-average athlete with phenomenal football instincts. His freshman tape shows a ton of versatility and playmaking skill. His sophomore tape shows those same instincts, mostly as a safety. At safety, Nolan earned several interceptions. The INTs weren’t gimmes either- Nolan earned each interception through making quick reactions, exploding to the football, and generally doing his job at a high level. He’s also a hard-hitter when it comes to run defense. As I eluded to earlier, Nolan also has great upside on offense. I fully expect Nolan to perform great this coming season and earn GLIAC offers by next offseason.
