Allen has had some hype behind him for awhile, and he has definitely been putting in the work to show why he has been talked about as a great prospect. Allen has a great motor from what I see on film, and he uses some violent moves to shed blocks on pass rushes. Although I would still label him a tad undersized at 6’2 215, I think more weight room time and more reps will cure any worry there. I am hoping to see Allen get some reps at some camps this spring and really show off his skillset and potential.

- Run stopping
A one-dimensional high-floor player. Still, absolutely zero reason why Allen can’t be a successful pass rusher at the Division 2 or even MAC level. Overall pass rush ability is incredibly polished for a high school prospect. Explodes off ball, active hands, gets to QB quickly. He struggles when he doesn’t win immediately and gets stonewalled against the run. One-dimensional, but I’ve seen players just like this succeed greatly at D2 or even MAC levels.

Allen, like Isaiah, was very up-and-down. The early game saw Allen make a few mental mistakes (encroachment penalties). On the flip side, Allen had a very impressive interception that ended up being called back. Later on in the game, Allen won a few blocks and make a good number of plays. I admittedly didn’t watch him as much as some others, but just enough to confidently say that he’s an impact player.

Allen is really putting in the weight room work, as his X/Twitter shows he is now up to 215. This is an awesome trajectory if he can continue to make hay in that department. He has made the slide to EDGE/OLB, and it suits him nicely. Technically, he’s very sound. He flies off the ball, has some long arms that keep blockers out of his chest, and he does a nice job of staying home and making plays as they come to him. Allen is well on his way to getting ranked, and probably fairly high!
