Not surprised in the slightest.
Javari had a nice game against Lansing Sexton. At running back, Javari slashed through the defense and was very hard to bring down. Javari’s vision was great. Solid change of direction, and always looking for open space. No doubt that Javari will continue his success throughout his senior season.
At Ferris State, I’d expect Javari to significantly upgrade his speed. Upgrade speed, and everything else should fall into place. Love the open-field potential with Javari, and you know he’s always been a great power RB.

Javari earned himself his fourth offer today from Siena Heights. An overall good outing, even though I thought the 1on1 drills did not fit Javari’s skillset. In my view, Javari is best utilized when running in between the tackles. Think prime Rhamondre Stevenson. Instead, Javari was tasked with running routes out of the backfield and defending RBs at linebacker.
Javari had his moments. I thought he was especially good at linebacker- fast feet, solid change of direction. Though Javari was not as explosive as I thought he’d be.

Javari is a kid I have been following for awhile now, and I still don’t think he is getting the traction and attention he should be. He’s an instinctual LB with the size and athleticism to make plays all over the field. His highlights show how reactive he is, how well he can get off blocks, and shows his active hands that can force fumbles. With only 2 offers to his name, I think he is going to take a huge jump heading into his senior season!

Funches came as a junior and balled out against seniors. The 6-foot, 210-pound running back and middle linebacker has an impressive frame. Big and bulky, with a thick lower-half and big arms, he has a good size-speed ratio. At linebacker he has strong closing speed, very good instincts and takes good angles to the ball.

I saw Javari at several camps before ever watching him play in person during the Fall season.
Before then, I knew he was athletic. I knew he was well-built. I knew he had a good work ethic. Though sometimes, someone impresses me during the offseason and lays an egg during the season. Other times, someone impresses me during the offseason and then blows me away during the season. Javari is the ladder.
There became a point where UofD Jesuit gave up on trying to tackle Javari. Very consistently, Javari ran through defenders, broke a ton of tackles, and played with a relentlessness that I’ve seen few demonstrate. Amazing Week 2 performance and Javari has a chance to really make his name known this postseason.

Everett in general is having a pretty big year, and Javari is a huge driver behind this. He’s a weapon they love to utilize out of the backfield both on inside runs going downhill running through defenders, or getting outside the tackles, making guys miss and using some nice moves to create space and grab some extra yardage. In addition, he’s a rangy linebacker who can wreck an offensive game plan with his discipline and pure athletic ability. Keep an eye on Javari and Lansing Everett going forward!

Before this game, I knew that Javari was a special athlete with many great physical traits. Last offseason, I loved what I saw from him on both sides of the ball, but many players play much differently in season than they do when in pajamas during the off-season.
Offensively, I saw great north-south power running in addition to a mean stiff arm. I really liked his contact balance and overall power all game, and It’s a testament to his stamina that he could keep going at 100% on both sides of the ball all game.
Speaking of the other side of the ball, Javari had a great day on defense. He was playing fast and loose at Linebacker, racking up a great number of QB pressures.
I could go on and on, but just know that Javari had an incredible game. I very firmly believe that Javari is going to be a high-tier Division 2 prospect next offseason. The one and only thing holding him back from those D1 offers in my opinion will be his speed.

Javari earns a great boost after a few excellent off-season showings. At the MHSAA Showcase at DeWitt, Javari took a ton of reps and showed his great athleticism and insane effort. Namely, I was impressed to see him move as well as he did at receiver. He consistently fired off the ball and made precise cuts to earn separation. At DB, Javari showed off that same effort and athleticism. On film Javari is a very reactive linebacker. I’m not quite sure what position he’ll play in college, but at this point, I’m confident he’ll be a GLIAC prospect.
