Another really strong showing. He’s one of the QBs I have seen the most in this class, and every time I see him, he has clearly improved. Even from the end of the season to now, he has made more strides in his development.
-Can be explosive on the run, with the ability to throw on the run accurately and with power
-Much improved accuracy, and improved timing, especially on the deep ball
-May be the most dynamic QB in the class of 2027, coming off of back-to-back state titles. Jabin is absolutely in for a huge senior season

This is why I wait until after the state championships to release rankings. Jabin was an important evaluation during championship weekend. Prior to last weekend, I had only seen Jabin against DCC, a team that made even blue-chip QBs extremely uncomfortable.
Against Dexter, Jabin increased his stock. For one, Jabin is by far the best dual-threat QB in this class. At times, he’s able to flash in the open field and deal a ton of damage with his legs.
Facing a solid Dexter defense, he went 17-22, 304 yards, and 4TDs. Amazing numbers in the state championship. Jabin played with a ton of confidence and had a little more passing variety than I’m used to (less quick game / RPO- let him let it loose a little).
Arguably the highest-ceiling QB in this class, and I wouldn’t bat an eye if you wanted to rank Jabin #1. I absolutely think there’s enough upside for Jabin to be a Division 1 college QB, but I still would like to see a tad better consistency.

Right away I noticed his decisiveness and nice throwing motion. He was able to get a few short completions early and when he was in rhythm and on time, the offense was really rolling. I do like his ability on the ground and the way he threatens a defense. Brother Rice was definitely respecting his legs and that allowed him to buy some time inside the pocket. I would like to watch him in person again, but I do like the physical traits out of him right now.

No doubt that Jabin has improved over the past year.
He runs the offense well. Lots of RPO, quick reads, designed QB run. I thought Jabin started out hot, perfectly hitting his first read on a consistent basis. Later in the half, especially after the pick-6, I thought Jabin’s accuracy dipped a bit, but most balls were still catchable.
Yesterday was tough, and there were few opportunities to throw it deep. I’d love to see Jabin get to his second or third reads more consistently and throw it downfield- should earn those opportunities in future games. Another quick note- I was not able to get much of a read on Jabin’s rushing ability. I know he’s a great athlete, but his opportunities were limited.
I also thought Jabin looked poised on the sidelines. Even when things weren’t looking great, Jabin looked motivated to get back out there and give it another go.

All signs point toward Jabin taking that big leap. I was a little hesitant to rank him high during the last update, but it seems my hesitancy was probably unwarranted.
Unlike most 2027 QBs, Jabin has phenomenal upside as a runner. He’s a great athlete and a potentially amazing high school dual-threat. At the very least, Jabin should be able to extend plays. Additionally, I’m just looking for a clean game. Limit the mistakes, and throw on time. DCC gave Bryce Underwood some trouble last season, so I’m expecting this to be a major test for Jabin. Let’s see how he attacks this game!

Jabin is another QB that I’ll be getting a close look at next week. Super optimistic that Jabin has indeed made that big junior year jump.
So far, he’s flashed his dual-threat ability. Below, Jabin’s first highlight showcases an accurate 40-yard shot to the endzone. Second, an incredibly explosive run up the middle. Third, another accurate bullet pass to the vertical route. I really, really like what Jabin has shown so far. It looks like he’s making that Varsity jump that has been expected. Can’t wait to watch Jabin next week!

Looked very good in-person on Thursday night. Athletic dual-threat quarterback who can make plays with his legs and his arm. Has a quick release and smooth delivery. Has mobility to elude rushers, buy time, set his feet and pull the trigger. Strong arm with good deep-ball accuracy, good timing and velocity over the middle of the field. Very impressive prospect looking to bounce back after missing most of his sophomore season due to injury.

One of the big questions for Orchard Lake St. Mary’s this season is how can they follow up on their incredible success of 2024. As usual, the quarterback position will be the X-factor.

has had some solid offseason performances over the last few months, but doing it week in and week out against their schedule is difficult. They open up with a solid Portage Northern team this week, and it could be a great way for Jabin to showcase what he can do. He has arm talent, he has athleticism, he just needs to put a full game together and get a feel for things at the helm for OLSM. If he is able to put out a solid performance this week, we could be in for a spectacular season from JG.

What I like about Jabin:
Verified height and weight, verified 40, a good highlight tape, and flashes at the Varsity level. He has solid athletic traits and instincts that make him an intriguing dual-threat. Jabin’s arm is solid, not amazing, but far from below-average. I know he can make any throw. Jabin is a talent that’s been on our radar for quite a while, and I’m confident that he’ll play up to his ranking this season.
Question Marks
I love that I have verified information on Jabin. Lots of tape and a few in-person looks. Though the biggest question mark is still how he’ll perform as Varsity QB1. Love the traits, but I’m still a little wait-and-see with Jabin.

Jabin is an extremely interesting prospect. Really, we’re ranking him based on word of mouth and projected upside. Skill-wise, I honestly don’t think he’s as good as most QBs on this list. Also, he’s tough to rank because he hasn’t put out a full-season highlight tape.
He’s athletic, has great size, and I’ve heard good things about him. Time will tell with Jabin!
