Landon is a wildcard this fall in terms of position. There are a lot of highlights of him on offense but I love this kid on the defensive line. Landon has great get off which translates well at defensive end. Landon has great upper body strength and completely wrecks offensive lines trying to contain him. He is equally as impressive as a tight end showing excellent straight line speed and very soft hands. Orchard Lake has a bevy of players at there disposal and no matter which side of the ball he lines up on he will be a handful.

Landon checks a ton of boxes.

The physical tools are there. Landon is tall, has good muscle, and showed promise during his freshman season. This offseason, Landon has travelled to countless camps, visited a ton of colleges, and he’s straight-up improved. A recent clip from The D Zone 7on7 indicates that Landon has made improvements to his catch radius.

I’m not yet sure if I like Landon better as a Tight End or Defensive End, but I know he’s got excellent upside at both positions.

Landon has phenomenal size for the position, and he has an opportunity to develop into one of Michigan’s premier defensive ends.

His freshman season highlights show some of those flashes, but, like most Watch List players, he has a long way to go. For one, I love the defensive highlights. Landon plays fast, and got into the backfield a good number of times. Plus, he has a couple highlights at TE. If I catch Landon at an offseason event, he could be ranked sooner rather than later. Though, as it stands now, I’ll probably wait until this Fall until I’m comfortable ranking him (same with most of the Watch List).

Landon is a very raw but high-upside prospect. Right now, I’ve only seen clips of Landon training here and there. In general, he seems like an experienced football player and someone who is highly motivated to reach his goals. He doesn’t look very explosive or physical just yet, but he will 100% develop those aspects with a good season and 2025 offseason. I also love that Landon is a committed baseball player- it seems that he could be a phenomenal prospect there as well.

Landon is very much a “wait and see” guy, but I’m confident that with his size, he can quickly develop into a great Varsity football player.
