I came away from the Rising Stars camp incredibly impressed with Lorenzo. When I watched Lorenzo in-season, I thought he had above-average twitch, and solid vision in the open field.

At camp, Lorenzo jumped out of the gym. Consistently one of, if not the best, release and acceleration at camp. Additionally, Lorenzo ran immaculate routes all day, and did a great job changing direction at his break and stopping on a dime. Without a doubt, Lorenzo is a Division 1 prospect. Rare footwork, and all-around athletic ability.

When Lorenzo gets some open field, he can take full advantage, and that’s exactly what he did on Friday night in their title game. One of the highlights was taking a little dump off to the house with some sweet moves and a burst of speed. He also had an absurd catch that didn’t count, but was an unbelievable display of concentration and athleticism. I liked his film, but seeing him in person gave me a whole new appreciation for his game. Huge boost in stock for him in my eyes this weekend!

It was nice to see Lorenzo Barber Lorenzo Barber 5'7" | 165 lbs | WR/DB Orchard Lake St Marys | 2027 State MI earn so many touches. A lot of speed-in-space opportunities for Lorenzo, and a handful of opportunities between the tackles. He’s explosive and can be slippery in traffic. His tape showcases a little more of his abilities as a receiver.

Extremely versatile player who I hope to watch again sometime this year. I feel like I’ll have a chance to do so at Ford Field this November.

Lorenzo is an athletically gifted ball player who can play both wideout and defensive back at a very high level. With his quick twitch speed and change of direction ability, Lorenzo can be a nightmare at receiver. Barber also has phenomenal ball skills that allow him to be any quarterback’s favorite target. Lorenzo has a very bright future ahead of him. With him already visiting several big-time programs around the state of Michigan, there is no telling where he might end up.

Lorenzo is a shifty, playmaking athlete coming out of Michigan. With his impressive speed, Lorenzo is a big play threat on any given play. If Lorenzo is given the space, he has the capability of outrunning anyone on the field while he makes his way to the end zone. His athleticism plays a key role in allowing Lorenzo to make defenders miss and extend the play for as long as he can. Lorenzo also has impressive ball skills as he has no problem making a play on the ball no matter where the ball is on his body. Lorenzo clearly has shown that he can play football at a very high level, and it shouldn’t be long until he becomes one of Michigan’s most sought-after 2027 prospects.
