I’ve said it a lot last offseason; I love Bryan’s upside at running back. It’s been a rocky two weeks for Avondale to begin the season, but Bryan has still put up some good highlights.
0:12 is a phenomenal run against a stout Seaholm defense. The DE immediately finds his way into the backfield, as do a few linebackers. Bryan does not panic, cuts back, and shows off that explosiveness on his way to the sideline. That’s a 3-yard loss turned into a 25+-yard explosive gain because of Bryan’s vision and explosiveness. Next, 0:30 is an impressive middle screen. Bryan breaks a tackle, and earns a good number of yards on the 2nd and long play.
Not a ton of highlights, but these highlights are very promising. I know Bryan is a great athlete, and I know the upside is as high as any.

Athletically, Bryan is on par with a few D1-offered running backs. I witnessed this first-hand at the Wayne State Mega Camp and have the testing numbers to back it up.
Bryan’s tape shows a ton of potential. The speed shows. If Bryan is able to get into the second level, he’s consistently able to find a lane and run away from DBs. He also flashes vision, sometimes being able to sidestep a defender and quickly adjust his course in tight space.
There’s an incredible foundation here, but still some things to improve upon. If Bryan works on his contact balance, he could break many more tackles and earn a ton more explosive plays. In addition, his vision can be much more consistent. Most of these issues will be fixed with time in the weight room, plus a ton of intentional practice.

Over the past several months, I have heard of Avondale’s promising young RB.
Eye test? Passes. For a 2028 prospect, Bryan is absolutely ahead of the curve. During drills, I was satisfied with his performance. He didn’t blow me away in any aspect, but also didn’t disappoint. This is backed up by his testing numbers, which were good when compared to the Class of 2028, but below average compared with upperclassmen college prospects.
On tape, Bryan seems like a classic between-the-tackles 3-down running back. In my opinion, the biggest areas that will impact Bryan’s eventual college recruitment are speed and contact balance.
