Orchard Lake St. Mary’s is full of talent up and down the roster, but I think Caleb Dersa Caleb Dersa 6'3" | 210 lbs | EDGE/DL Orchard Lake St Mary's | 2028 State MI is one of the more underrated pieces of this squad.

I absolutely love his quick first step, and ability to set offensive linemen up, and can beat them with speed or power. He has a strong lower half that can anchor down and set the edge as well, making him a top run stopper as well as an elite pass rusher.

Through 2 weeks, he has shown all of the flashes you’d want to see this early in the season. He will be a monster part of his teams success going forward.

Caleb is another young pass rusher that really pops on film. I really like the motor that Caleb plays with. He is relentless in his attack on the Quarterback. Caleb plays with excellent balance and displays excellent raw power shoving offensive lineman into the backfield on multiple plays. I also really like Calebs ability to bend the corner and cut off angles to the quarterback giving the QB no where to go. Caleb also does a good job knowing when to pull off the rush and setting a good edge in the run game. Keep an eye on Caleb this fall as his numbers are sure to rise and he becomes the focus with what is expected to be a solid Orchard Lake football team.

Caleb has been putting in the work so far this offseason. It seems like every couple of days I am seeing new clips from another event. He has shown steady improvement upon his bend, speed and overall motor. I love the way he mixes up his pass rush moves, with some power and finesse mixed in. He is continuing to evolve physically as well, putting on some good weight and still growing into his 6’3 frame. Given the production graduating from DCC from the talented 2026 class, Caleb has the opportunity to make the jump and be productive early and often and become a major breakout player this fall.
