Some brought size. Some brought versatility. Some brought smoothness and polish. Others simply found ways to make plays over and over again. What stood out most was how these athletes handled the moment against older competition and quality opponents.

These are a few of the names that left a real impression at the 7v7.

[player_tooltip player_id='1591909' first='Bryland' last='Alexander'] (Gahanna Lincoln, OH | 2028 | 6-0, 188 | 2 D1 offers) — MADE
Alexander looked like one of the more explosive young athletes in the 18U bracket. He was a force on both sides of the ball and played with the type of energy that immediately grabs your attention. He moved differently than a lot of players on the field, covering ground quickly and showing that natural athletic pop that translates in space. This was a strong weekend for him and the type of showing that gives you a glimpse of how he could turn heads during camp season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1953975' first='JP' last='Butler'] (Gahanna Lincoln, OH | 2027 | 5-9, 160) — MADE
Butler was one of those competitors who just kept showing up around the football. He moved around well, competed on both sides, and showed the ball-handling skills and awareness you want from a versatile athlete. He also looked like a player with a strong feel for the game, communicating and staying engaged throughout. His performance had the feel of a player preparing for a bigger role heading into his senior season.

Henry VandenBerg (Comstock Park, MI | 2028 | 6-4, 170) — Legacy
VandenBerg looked the part the second he stepped on the field. He was physically imposing, played with confidence, and made defenses pay attention whenever he was involved. He did a strong job winning at the catch point, using his frame, and showing the kind of strong hands that make him tough to defend. For a 2028 prospect playing in the 18U division, he did not look out of place at all. In fact, he looked like one of the young players poised for a big offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='2150975' first='Brieon' last='Walton'] (Grand Rapids Christian, MI | 2027 | 6-3, 178) — Legacy
Walton was one of the smoothest athletes in the field. He made the game look natural, whether the ball was arriving in space or in a contested situation. He adjusted well, showed comfort tracking the football, and consistently looked under control. There was a calm confidence to the way he played, and that stood out. He did not need to be flashy to make an impact. He just kept making plays.

Aaron Gauthier (Holy Names Catholic, Ontario | 2027 | 6-3, 200-202) — Team 519
Gauthier brought one of the more physically impressive frames in the group and used it well throughout the tournament. He made plays downfield, gave his team a big target to work with, and forced defenses to account for him. What made him intriguing was not just the size, but the fact that he moved well enough to create real problems in coverage. He looked like a player with a lot of upside and plenty more room to grow into his game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1369507' first='Jayshon' last='Taylor'] (Penn Hills, PA | 2028) — Cash Cow Rex
Taylor stood out because of how naturally he tracked the football and competed at the catch point. He was a strong two-way athlete during the 7v7 and showed confidence against high-level competition. His ball skills were the biggest takeaway. He consistently put himself in a position to make plays, adjusted well, and looked comfortable finishing through traffic. He was one of those players who kept making you look up when the ball was in the air.
