Probably my least contentious ranking with the top 5 DBs. David is a dang good safety, and he has the coaching + competition to keep him on a D1 trajectory. The main thing keeping him from a slightly higher ranking is the fact that I haven’t seen him at an offseason camp.
Strengths
- Most well-rounded Safety in class
- Great zone player
- Goes for ball
- Good backpetal
- Covers ground quickly
- Very competitive
- Willing run stoppr
Weaknesses
- No idea how he is in man coverage
- Could improve change of direction
Very athletic, far more polished than other Safeties, competitive. Goes and attacks the ball. Always goes for the intercpetion. Strugging to find a lot of nitpicks- an easy D1 evaluation. Did very well in first game of season against Davison.

One of the best DBs in the toughest league in Michigan. Need I say more?
I’ll say more in the form of stats- David had 5 interceptions, 4 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble on the season. In addition, I really like how aggressive he is in the run game. Great pursuit, good tackling, always wraps up, etc. Great all-around DB with legit D1 upside.
