I didn’t consistently watch Jimmy as much as I would have liked to, but he made his presence felt anyway. It felt like he was constantly in on tackles and constantly getting into the backfield. Even when he didn’t make the play, he was able to re-route the runner and turn him back towards his teammates that could help clean up the tackle. I really liked his speed and quick reactions as well, keeping him ahead of the offense at all times. Very interesting prospect with plenty of upside.

A rangy off-ball linebacker who has a ton of upside, especially in pass coverage.
First highlight features great instincts in zone coverage. Jimmy drops back, reads the QBs eyes and slowly follows them, then high-points the crossing route and sets up his offense in the redzone. Second play is a great read on the sweep. Very good job moving laterally, then tracking the ballcarrier’s inside hip.
I am impressed with Jimmy’s play recognition, play speed, and athleticism. This is an outside linebacker who has the tools to be a phenomenal college prospect, excelling in pass coverage and sideline-to-sideline run-stopping.

De La Salle is an extremely large program, and they always seem to have several Division 1/2 prospects. That said, Jimmy has a chance to be one of those elite De La Salle dudes. 6’2″ height doesn’t hurt, either.
Speaking on his tape, Jimmy played well at the JV level. His first highlight shows a great read and tackle on the quick RB screen. Second, another great read, react, and tackle, this time against the inside run. Truly one of the best JV linebackers I’ve watched on tape. With a good offseason, Jimmy should be ready for Varsity. Hopefully I’ll see Jimmy sometime this offseason, and I’m sure I’ll catch a De La Salle game sometime next season.
