Canty is one of the most polished offensive linemen I have ever seen in high school football. He’s an incredibly well-rounded lineman who is coached by the best and plays some of the highest level of competition.
He’s big, he’s physical and extremely competitive. Coaches talk incredibly highly of the way he works, and it’s embodied by the fact that Canty is at camps and showcases all over the place. He’s a workhorse who is constantly working to improve. 2026 will be a massive one for him.

First saw him in the eighth grade and seeing his progress over four years has been remarkable. Strong prospect who could also play in defense. Good hand placement, strike timing and pinch. Quick feet and good ankles, has a mean streak. Loves to compete – learned of the event this morning and just decided to show up, which speaks to his competitive nature.

The Case for Khalief:
- Unrivaled in-season competition
- GREAT all-around fundamentals
- I’ve never, if ever seen him lose a rep in the offseason
- Extremely competitive
Canty is one of the best linemen I’ve ever watched. He’s probably still my #1 lineman, but it’s extremely close. The only downside I can see is shorter than average arms for a B1G 10 prospect. I could easily see him becoming a quick starter in college, but how good he’ll be depends on his work ethic.

Canty is an absolute star in the trenches. It doesn’t get much better than what Khalief does. He is an absolute bully. Both times I got to see him play, he physically dominated a good defensive front. He has the mobility to get out and block in space, or he can just wash a DT straight down the line, taking out everyone in his path. His passing sets continue to impress, making him one of the best all around OL in the state, hence his D1 attention.

It isn’t often that Cass Tech is the underdog. It’s even less often that Cass Tech is a MAJOR underdog.
That’s where we are now, and if Cass is to win, guys like Khalief need to set the tone.
I’ve watched Khalief a lot over the years, both at camps and in-season. If nothing else, Khalief is highly consistent. During the offseason, I’ve never seen Khalief lose a 1-on-1 rep. Everything from his footwork to punch is consistent. DCC has some great defensive linemen, but I think Khalief will make short work of them.

Canty was one of the most impressive players on the field. His size and presence is unbelievable, and he brings a ton of skill along with it. I watched him on multiple reps, and he showed incredible strength and technique. He stayed balanced, moved fairly well and was always able to counter when someone tried a move to get free. Canty is an all around superstar in the trenches.
