This is your prototypical Cass Tech defensive lineman. Big, powerful and nasty. He fires off low and gets under the pads of the offensive lineman and just bullies them. He has the ability to man multiple gaps and make plays. Moving well at his size, he has no issue chasing plays down or hitting linemen with fake outs before zooming by them. This is a dude that I could see earning a significant amount of reps this fall, and grabbing some D1 attention.

What kind of absolute beast do you have to be to crack the lineup as a Freshman at Cass Tech? I was really impressed with what I saw out of Tailor. His ability to fire off and put a move on and get into the backfield consistently is on par with some of the best EDGE guys we have in the state. He’s big, physical and extremely productive already for his class. I am really looking forward to watching him take off this season!

I caught a few glimpses of Tailor Thomas Tailor Thomas 6'0" | 240 lbs | ATH/DL Cass Tech | 2029 State MI . I was happy to see him getting into the game on occasion. He even earned a reception into the flat, and did well with his opportunity.

Tailor passes the eye test. Height and weight seem accurate. Moves really well for his size. A great fit for the Cass Tech program, and a guy who’ll be used in some unique ways this season. Super interested in the role he fits into this year and in years to come. Impressed that Tailor earned playing time.

Insane athlete considering his size. Has played just about every position.

The upside to be an extremely versatile Varsity player. Very intrigued to see what his “main position” ends up being

Has a chance to skyrocket the rankings. Tailor is what I’d call the most intriguing player in this class.

I trust Cass Tech more than any other program to develop Tailor and utilize him most fittingly.

The younger brother of 2025 Linebacker prospect and Central Michigan University early-enrollee, Andre Thomas.

A special athlete given his size and how well he can move. Lined up at Tight End, Fullback, H-Back during AYF Nationals in December 2024. Despite looking like an Offensive Guard, he was faster than many of the skill position players on majority of teams.

Wrapped up his youth career with the AYF 13U D2 National Champion, Westside Cubs. Watching him for a week straight, I have nothing but positive things to say. To be that broad and thick, yet still play as fast as he does was special. One of those kids that everyone noticed. How tall he gets will dictate where he ultimately ends up, but if he tacks on a few inches and continues to be so wide and heavy, he could be a difference-making Defensive Lineman over the next four years.
