I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a more competitive high school football player. Of course, Corey is an incredible talent. His athletic traits are well-known, and he’s the worst-kept secret in Michigan High School football. My Mr. Football pick for good reason.
Corey was extremely locked into the game. He wanted to win like he wanted to breathe air.
Some highlights and lowlights for Corey. Actually gave up a few plays defensively. A little too aggressive at times, but that aggressiveness almost resulted in a near INT when he jumped a route. Plus, there was a moment where Corey forced his receiver out of bounds, eliminating him from the play.
I’m impressed with Corey’s leadership. There were times when Corey’s frustration showed, but he was able to reel in his emotions enough to be helpful to his teammates.

I know, I know. I just wrote about Corey in my Mr. Football article.
I do my best not to talk about the same player more than once in a week, let alone in 24 hours. Though it was impossible not to have Sadler on this list.
Not saying anything new. Even against the best teams under the brightest lights, Corey stands out as the best player on the field. Through his three years of Varsity experience, he’s developed excellent IQ on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he knows where the holes are, knows the angles, and plays with supreme confidence. Same with defense. Corey is a ball hawk and is not afraid to lay the wood.
Of course, Corey couldn’t be on the freaks list without being a supreme athlete. He’s an insane outlier when it comes to athletic ability. Can’t wait to see where Corey commits!

Even though Corey no longer plays QB, he’s absolutely one of those special players that is an exception to the trend. Corey is an elite athlete on both sides of the ball, an excellent weapon in space, a ball hawk on defense.
Anyone who knows anything about Michigan High School Football knows who

- Has met every expectation put on him. Can’t say the same about all prospects coming up with Corey.
- Easily the #1 player in Michigan. Will put up amazing tape on both sides of the ball.

is not only our #1 ATH, but our #1 overall player in the 2026 class. His ability to play both ways at an elite level is incredibly rare. He has played quarterback, wideout, corner and safety and has dominated at all levels. Sadler has made it clear that he would like to play both ways at the next level, and there’s no reason why he can’t.
Sadler is a rare combination of speed, power and spectacular football IQ. His ability to translate what he knows on defense to the offensive side of the ball and vice versa makes Sadler an absolute weapon that any Power-4 would love to have.
