The same type of performance I’m used to seeing from Braylon.
In a pretty good receiver group, Braylon was the quickest and most explosive. You could immediately see it during the agility drills- Braylon’s burst and change of direction were next-level.
During 1on1s, Braylon seemed to get open with ease. He found success with practically every route. Ball skills were a bit hard to evaluate because the passes thrown weren’t the most accurate, but I’ve seen enough of Braylon to know he has good hands and can do damage after the catch. Has consistently been a MAC prosepct in my opinion for the past 3 years- that still has not changed!

is another versatile athlete that can be effective defensively or as a receiver out of the slot. His hands are great, and the body control Burnside possesses to adjust to the ball is incredible.
He shined last season at Ike and was a huge part of their offense. He’s versatile enough to be a threat on the outside as well as in the run game as a speed-in-space guy. Burnside currently holds some offers from MAC schools and could be in line for a few more with a big season this fall.

Braylon is about to have a tremendous 2025 season after a breakout 2024 year. He’s a lot like Damion- he plays in the slot, is utilized in space a lot, etc. The play at 0:28 (+ 0:47, 1:10) perfectly showcases Braylon’s open-field elusiveness. Braylon also runs excellent routes. Comebacks, whip, post, you name it- Braylon knows how to create separation for himself. His routes and hands alone make for a MAC prospect. With a little more experience under his belt, the entire MAC should be after him.

Braylon has an extremely interesting offseason ahead of him. Honestly, I don’t know if he’ll earn any more MAC offers
(D1 schools tend to focus almost exclusively on incoming juniors, sophomores, and freshmen, so it’s extremely difficult to earn a D1 offer as a senior).
That said, I am extremely confident that Braylon is a MAC prospect, and I give major props to Central Michigan and Miami for offering Braylon, even though he has yet to have a truly breakout season.
He’s everything you want in a slot receiver. The route running is an A+, and that of course comes with excellent change of direction. Braylon’s hands are also great.
The crazy thing is, I think next year will be Braylon’s true breakout season from a production standpoint. IKE has a TON of skill position talent, especially in the Class of 2025. So, next season, Braylon could be a sleeper Mr. Football candidate.

Braylon is someone who I’ve evaluated multiple times during the offseason. He wasn’t a top priority for me to evaluate, but I’d like to shout out a few plays he made.
Offensively, Braylon secured a great high-point catch and ALWAYS ran extremely fluid routes. He also threw a touchdown on a trick play, which is fun to see. Braylon is currently overshadowed a bit by other, more experienced talent, but he still gave amazing effort play in and play out.
He also started at corner, but I honestly didn’t watch much of him there.
Braylon has already made a few great plays showcasing his effort, route running, and open-field ability. He’s a fringe MAC prospect in my eyes, and I’d be shocked if schools like GV and Ferris State don’t offer him this Spring.

I’d be surprised if Braylon doesn’t perform at an all-state level this season. Braylon is another one of those receivers who’s been working extremely hard since before his freshman season. Over a year ago, I watched as Braylon took over the Prep Redzone 7on7 in Nashville. A few months ago, I watched as Braylon performed lights-out at the MHSAA Camp in Farmington.
More specifically, Braylon is a phenomenal route-runner from the slot. In addition, Braylon looks phenomenal after the catch. He hasn’t shown it too much in-season, but this offseason, I watched as Braylon quickly secured catches before avoiding defenders and turning up field. So, I fully expect Braylon to earn a lot of opportunities in the short-intermediate areas of the field. He’s a great athlete, route-runner, and demonstrates great hands and body control. Can’t wait to see what Braylon will be able to accomplish at IKE this season!
