What a phenomenal get for Central Michigan. The new staff made Traverse Moore Traverse Moore 6'0" | 180 lbs | ATH DeWitt | 2026 State MI a priority in this 2026 class, and it paid off. There are a ton of reasons why they felt so strongly about being able to secure his commitment.
Moore can really do it all offensively. He’s a willing and capable blocker. He’s physical and uses sound technique. When he carries the ball, he is hard to bring down. He’s balanced and he’s quick, and again his physicality comes into play. He also has great vision and patience, letting the play develop and allowing his blockers to do their job before turning on the jets. Moore has no issues as a receiver either. Wheel routes out of the backfield are his strength and he typically displays really good hands and the ability to break tackles for even more yardage. Central Michigan has to be incredibly excited about the possibilities with Moore.

Strengths
- Super well-rounded player
- Great contact balance
- Good size- ideal for MAC
- Great player in space
- Very capable receiver or receiving RB
Weaknesses
- Could have a touch better COD
- Seemed pretty cocky when I saw him last
- Don’t know how good a blocker he is
Traverse seems to be getting better and better year after year. A year ago, I viewed him mostly as a receiver, but his running back highlights make me think he can be a RB at the MAC level. Bounces off tackles better than most. Good strength. I know he’s well-built. Screams MAC running back

Traverse has had a great season and an excellent District Finals game against Lowell.
This season, Traverse has mostly been utilized as a running back, which is different from his WR/ATH role that I’m used to seeing him in. Against Lowell, Traverse demonstrated great vision and power. His offensive line consistently did a great job of opening up running lanes, and Traverse did an equally great job of hitting the holes hard and running through contact. Traverse isn’t currently the most polished RB when it comes to vision or open-field elusiveness, but he has the speed to break any run, and the power to consistently bowl over defenders and gain a few extra yards per carry. I’m really looking forward to seeing how Traverse fares against a supremely underrated Petoskey defense.

Moore is an all around playmaker. He does a great deal of damage in the open field breaking tackles and turning on the jets to get up field in a hurry. He is a great gadget player that can do whatever he is asked as a RB or outside catching passes. His development is way ahead of schedule, which excites me like no other about his potential.

-Huge game on both sides of the ball
-Blazing speed, able to get the edge and make defenders take bad angles
-Was a sure handed safety valve when the QB had no other options
-Able to get physical stopping the run defensively
-More D1 offers are definitely warranted
