We know what this dude can do. He’s one of the most electrifying players in the state, and he showed again why he is a P4 guy with tons of upside. Check out a few of my notes below:
-Blazing speed. Hits the hole so fast it’s hard to react. Gets to the 2nd level quickly and finishes through contact.
-Great mix of power and balance. Consistently broke through first contact and fought for extra yardage.
-Tremendous vision as advertised. Sees lanes develop in real time and his awareness and ability to anticipate defenders made him extremely hard to contain all night.

The most electric running back in the state. Let’s talk about how Kory may be utilized at Kansas.
Just like what you’ll see this season at Haslett, I expect Kansas to use Kory all over the field. Pre-snap motion, speed-in-space, screens, and of course, some classic between-the-tackles running. I truly beleive that putting Kory in space is the most effective utilization, and I expect Kansas feels the same. Think Jahmyr Gibbs. That’s the role Kory will likely play in the Kansas offense, and I can’t wait to see it- hopefully playing alongside former Southfield A&T Quarterback Isaiah Marshall!

Versatility.
Kory is probably going to be ranked a little higher come the next update. In February, I spoke with someone on a Power 4 recruiting staff who has offered Kory. Long story short, they’re extremely high on Kory, and they love his versaility.
I do too.
My pro comp would be Jahmyr Gibbs. Like Gibbs, Kory can run inside, outside, catch passes, you name it. Plus, Kory is an insane weapon in the open field.
Give him an inch of space, and he’ll take it a mile. So many instances of excellent vision leading to a great cut into open space, then the speed to take it the distance. He’s got those kinds of highights running between the tackles, outside the tackles, and in the passing game. My only nitpick would be Kory could be a little smoother with his open-field moves. Still, way, way above average. Should be a phenomenal college football player.

Another no-brainer here. Kory isn’t as well-rounded as some RBs in this class, but he’s by far the most athletic and explosive. Think Jahmyr Gibbs- extremely slippery, explosive, a threat in the passing game, etc.
On top of that, Kory has extremely good contact balance for his size. I know his season got cut short due to injury, but I firmly expect Kory to come back stronger than ever.

Currently the #2 ranked Running Back in our rankings, Kory has already strung together a few impressive performances. The tape below showcases his performance against DeWitt, who usually has a great run defense. Play #2 (0:17) shows why he’s a Power 4 prospect. Upon receiving the handoff, Kory waits for his blocks to develop, then he explodes through the hole and burns a second-level defender on his way to a touchdown. The very next play, you see even more of that explosiveness and his ability to quickly bounce it outside and score. At 0:42, Kory showcases his impressive contact balance. Especially for a running backs who’s considered uber-athletic, any amount of contact balance is extremely impressive for a high school prospect. Needless to say, Kory has proved his ranking and will remain a top-10 prospect in the 2026 class.

Kory has blown up over the past six months. When you dig into his tape and work ethic, there’s no surprise why.
You can’t be a Division 1 Running Back prospect without speed. Last season, Kory displayed excellent speed, and I know he’s put on some good weight since last season. That said, Kory also demonstrated great contact balance, especially for his size. So many Running Backs struggle mightily with contact balance, but Kory’s effort and tenacious running style help him tremendously with keeping balanced. Watch a few minutes of Kory’s tape and you’ll quickly see several plays where Kory turns a minimal gain into a touchdown because of his contact balance. Lastly, Kory is lethal in the open field. I think his twitchiness and vision can still use some work, but Kory is still able to make a man miss. All of that didn’t even touch on the incredible offseason Kory’s had, as he’s impressed so many D1 coaches at camps. If Kory keeps up this pace, he will be a prime B1G 10 prospect by the end of this fall.
