Since his sophomore season, I have seen Brody just be as consistent as can be. He’s an athletic but powerful LB/EDGE with great bend. He had a couple of tackles that stopped the RB dead in his tracks and drove him backwards. On passing downs, he pinned his ears back and got into the backfield, eventually coming away with a sack when he just overpowered and outmaneuvered an offensive tackle. The Miami OH commit was all over defensively, as well as offensively at the TE position. No matter the score, Brody was all in and doing his part. Sink is a massive weapon with the skillset to thrive at the next level.
Brody has been asked to do a lot over the past couple of years. He has some experience on offense, and that’s a factor in his versatility.
Mainly, he’s a very versatile player on defense. Brody can play Mike, Will, Safety, etc. Really, anything but defensive tackle, Brody can play at a high level. Plus, he’s playing fast and physical at every part of the field. That’s why he’s ranked #48- very high-upside player who can play a variety of positions.
Played Safety until this past season (great pass coverage)
Good athletic profile
Great blitzer
Wide tackle radius
Weaknesses
Few instances of scrape & fill
Wish I saw more block sheds
Been following Brody for a while. He’s a very, very good player. Would be a low D1 prospect at Safety. Only things holding him back from B1G 10 are athletic ability, size, and maybe strength of schedule. This season, played phenomenally at LB. Blitzed fast but could have been a tad more explosive. Good tackle radius. Pursuit can be worked on, too.
Honestly, Brody is the player that I’m most excited to scout. I’ve seen a ton of tape, and I loved it all. Now, I finally get to see him play against a phenomenal team.
From the outside looking in, Brody seems like a great leader and an even better football player. On tape, he has several explosive defensive plays while also dabbling in offense and special teams. He’s a true all-around player and currently a top 100 player in the class of 2026.
An all-region selection as a Sophomore, Brody is an All-State hopeful heading into the 2024 season. Brody is one of the better run-defense safeties I’ve seen. When playing deep, Brody reacts to the outside run/screen pass quickly and delivers a blow to the RB. When creeping toward the line of scrimmage, Brody plays like a linebacker. I would like to see a little more reactivity and physicality when playing closer to the line, but once he diagnoses the play, he still stops the run very effectively. That’s not even to mention his good offseason and incredible LAX season. A good boost for Brody, and I’m looking forward to seeing him next season.
Brody shot up the boards in my eyes on Friday night. He looked really natural out there for a sophomore in a big game. He has a sizeable 6’3 frame, and looked to have very good technique. He was good when coming up to make hits in the run game, but also showed a knack for dropping back into coverage and defending the pass. He’s a young kid that has a very good base, and as he develops he could become a gamechanger!
