continues to show why he is such a highly touted kid. What stood out on Friday night was composure and leadership. Things weren’t going their way, but Dosh remained poised and kept his teammates in it. Physically, he still checks every box. Live arm, good mobility and solid decision making. While some of his mistakes came from trying to make something happen for his team when things weren’t going well, it’s hard to fault him for wanting to take over. Western Michigan is getting a guy that is not only physically gifted, but a natural leader as well.

It’s pretty simple at this point-

is one of the most special athletes we have in the state. He showed another example of it in week 1 against Roseville. From the start, the Western Michigan commit led the charge and never let up, ending his night with 4 rushing touchdowns and a passing touchdown as well. He was constantly breaking tackles, snatching ankles and breaking into the open space. When he did throw, he was doing some real damage. He had a couple of cross body throws that are super difficult and he made them look easy. He also had a couple of times where he was rolling, kept his eyes down field and stopped on a dime when he saw his opportunity to chuck it deep. What a start to a senior season for Jaxson.

Jaxson is the heart and soul of one of the most high-octane offenses in Michigan.
The reality for Mr. Football candidates is that a state championship run is almost required for the award.
Skill-wise, Jaxson has what it takes. He’s got what I think is the best arm in Michigan, and he’s absolutely the most athletic QB in Michigan. Experienced, polished, and absolutely a candidate.

At the end of the day, Jaxson is the Quarterback that I’ve evaluated the most. In the years of viewing Jaxson, I can safely comment on his work ethic, consistency, and I feel I have a great idea of his trajectory. I feel strongly that Jaxson will succeed at Western Michigan. He’s an elite athlete with true dual-threat upside at the next level. His throwing motion is consistnet and quite efficent- he gets a ton of power behind his throws, even when off-platform.
As long as Jaxson is able to pick up the playbook at Western Michigan and continue making subtle improvements to his accuracy and timing, he’ll do great.

Jaxson came out and did his thing.
The most impressive QB at the workout. Mechanics are smooth as butter. Throwing motion, feet, hips, etc, all flow perfectly, making for a very consistent throw. Jaxson also had the best throw power of any. While some guys’ deep balls tended to have a higher arc, Jaxson’s throws were a tad lower, more powerful, and just as, if not even more, accurate. This workout was near-impossible to accurately judge athletic ability, but Jaxson’s explosiveness still showed on some of the moving reps.
MAC floor and B1G 10 ceiling. Really good football player, as always.

Athletesism.
Jaxson is great in a lot of areas, and there’s a razor-thin margin between him and the other top QBs in the class.
Without a doubt, Jaxson’s greatest trait is his athletic ability. I mean, come on- he had the best 5-10-5 time in the entire Elite 11. Dude is explosive, and has the best change of direction I’ve ever seen in a high school quarterback. Because of this, I’d argue that Jaxson has the highest upside of any Michigan QB. I expect to see massive growth at Western Michigan- he could be an elite dual-threat in the MAC.

Even as the #3 quarterback in our class of 2026 rankings, Dosh may still be undervalued. His ceiling is truly QB1 in this class. The Western Michigan commit sports true dual-threat ability with the speed and vision to make a defense pay.
Even when he’s not making plays outside of the pocket, Dosh is extremely proficient in reading the defense and using his good mechanics to deliver on time balls. He is a good decision maker and somehow elevates his game under pressure. Much like

- The best athlete in this class
- Pure dual-threat
- Average running vision- will improve with reps
- Rocket arm
- Biggest thing holding Jaxson back from #1 is accuracy. Just isn’t consistent enough.
- Could definitely get to #1 by next update
- Leaning toward keeping Jaxson at #2 QB, but it is close

Jaxson did exactly what I thought he’d do! He was leader of the group, always going first and showing the others in line how it’s done. He showed off some superb footwork, strong arm and ability to throw on the run, across his body and from any arm slot. The Western Michigan commit showed multiple times how accurate he can be when off balance or on the run. An elite athlete mixed with his arm talent are exactly why he’s a top QB in this class.
