TyAnthony is a very high upside running back. In person, his athletic ability immediately pops. Great acceleration, top-end speed, and the track numbers to back up the eye test. Additionally, I’m extremely impressed with TyAnthony’s contact balance on tape. For someone as light as TyAnthony, you wouldn’t expect such great physicality and balance.
There’s still room to grow, and TyAnthony hasn’t really taken off as an elite Varsity RB like many D1 prospects have. This offseason, I expect him to polish his game even more. Next season, I expect a great leap in production.

TyAnthony might be one of the most fun backs I have covered this season. He adds a nice element to the Davison offense with his ability to catch out of the backfield and turn some short passes into big chunk plays. He came up with a couple of touchdown catches and provided a bit of a spark for his team. Between the tackles, he’s a nice mix of speed, balance and power, fighting through first contact and falling forward for extra yardage. This game solidified what I had thought about him- a dual threat back that brings tremendous versatility.

Near-elite athletic traits. Athletic.Net shows TyAnthony getting faster every year.
Very explosive. Great start-stop ability. Twitchy, and is quite effective in the open field. Good vision, especially for a 1st-year Varsity back.
Suprisingly good contact balance considering playstyle + size. Does an excellent job running through tackles, and manuvering his body through contact and tight traffic. Great job fighting for extra yards, and can stay balanced with multiple defenders laying hits.
I was not a fan of TyAnthony before this season. He had very little tape, and all I knew was that he was fast.
He does need to hit the weight room, as he’s quite small. One elite offseason, and TyAnthony could be a low P4 prospect. Love what this kid has shown this season, and I love his upside.

Speed kills. TyAnthony has several Davison track records, and it’s very likely that he’ll have a breakout season.
I have not watched TyAnthony in person, but I am intrigued with his offseason clips. He looks considerably bigger, and I’m loving his potential in the pass game. I could see TyAnthony being an elite weapon. Love his potential in the slot, or as a regular checkdown target. Of course, his speed makes for an extremely high upside “standard” RB. I’m expecting TyAnthony to show flashes all over the field. There’s a chance that he outplays his current ranking by a mile.

It’s not often you see a running back with Division 1 offers being ranked RB8. That is how incredibly deep this class is.
What I know about TyAnthony is that his speed is near-elite. He’s a track star (11.34 100M, 7.37 60M). Plus, he’s been able to show a bit of that speed on the football field. He’s also flashed a little bit of elusiveness in traffic and an ability to run earn a few extra yards through contact.
I’m mainly waiting to see how TyAnthony has improved and how his game translates to the Varsity level. There’s zero doubt that he’s a gifted athlete, and he’s flashed some solid in-game ability.

Well, I’m kicking off with one of the least underrated guys in the SVL.
One of the fastest dudes in the class, and already with some D1 attention. Running back tape showcases that speed- he’s a burner, especially when he’s able to reach the second level. Plays like 0:43 showcase upside in elusiveness, too. On top of that, TyAnthony has solid defensive tape. Moving forward, I’d like to see better contact balance.
Someone to watch this season. Aside from his tape, TyAnthony has made plenty of waves this offseason. Safe to say that he’s improved.

Davison has another spark plug in the backfield, just as they always seem to have. Lewis is another guy that seems to be on the right track to be a dominant force in the open field along with the strength to run between the tackles.
His highlights start off with a couple of nice carries where he is able to utilize superior change of direction and change of pace to make defenders miss. Other highlights display a solid stiff arm and some contact balance to get gritty yards as he falls forward. Weaker defenders pay the price when he gets through the line and lower his shoulder. This is a player that has a great chance to be an explosive varsity player soon!

TyAnthony is a super intriguing prospect from Davison. His current highlights show solid vision and open-field elusiveness from the running back position. His week 7 highlights in particular show a ton of great flashes, juking defenders in tight space, shaking off arm tackles, and working upfield.
I will say that TyAnthony looks a touch slower than the elite elusive backs I’ve seen. I’d love to see him work on his explosiveness this offseason. Don’t skip leg day, keep the offseason work consistent, and TyAnthony has a great shot to be a high-volume Varsity player next season.
