2027 Players Primed For A Big Year:

As we close in on the start of the reason players from across the state have put in relentless work to set themselves up for a big senior year. Let's take a look at 5 players I see having big campaigns and setting themselves up to make a move in the 2027 class.    Dawoud is a defensive end from Saline I see having a big year for the Hornets. The first thing that pops on film about Dawoud is his incredible athleticism and motor he displays whether it is rushing the quarterback or his ability to drop into coverage. This do it all rush end has a high motor , shows great bend and flexibility, and does a great job using his hands to knock down lineman's punch at him. I see a big year ahead for Dawoud and like the Hornets to make a serious run at a state title this year.     TyAnthony is a Running back primed to have a a massive year for the cardinals. TyAnthony is the definition of a do it all back. One thing I like about this senior back is his ability to run with power in between the tackles, but also has serious speed and can bounce the ball to the outside and score from anywhere on the field. Another part of TyAnthonys game that is of serious value is his ability to line up all over the field at wide out and and be extremely effective in the passing game. A big season in bound for TyAnthony and his Davison squad this season is right around the corner.     Koen is a lineman I see having a massive year for Hudson this fall. Koen committed to Iowa State this summer and one glance at his film its easy to see why. Koen shows excellent feet from his offensive tackle spot. At 6'7" and 285 plus pounds Koen does an excellent job of bending and playing with good pain level. Koen shows excellent power in the run game and absolutely dominate in his pass pro sets. I see Koen being an unstoppable force for Hudson this fall and leading the way for a big year from his teammates.     Connor is a player that shows a ton of versatility from his defensive position. The first thing I noticed about Connor is his ability to line up at Rush end , linebacker , or from multiple spots in the secondary and make plays. I am extremely impressed with Connors ability to be an effective pass rusher as he lined up at end on multiple plays and sack the quarterback or rush him into a bad throw. As a linebacker / safety he shows very good speed and does a good job playing downhill against the run and good coverage skills in the pass game. I see Connors role continue bro expand this fall and have another big year for Divine Child as they look to repeat this fall.     Atticus is a player I have been very high since watching him compete this spring at the PRZMI camp at Lawrence tech. Atticus is a big bodied tightens who committed to Northern Michigan this summer. The one thing that really popped while watching Atticus live was how well he moved for being 240 plus pounds. Atticus also showed very solid hands catching everything thrown his was that day. I can see Atticus putting together a big year as he looks to lead Okemas back to prominence.
