- Happy to see Tobin with revitalized interest from the division 1 level.
- One of, if not the best, interior O-Lineman in Michigan’s 2027 class.
- Did well this past season at whatever position was asked of him.
- Great size allows him to better anchor and absorb bull rush attempts from bigger DTs.
- Consistent work in the offseason over a number of years. Used to the all-year grind.

- Offers still yet to catch up with skillset
- Ideal size for a college IOL
- Well-repped in pass blocking. Really good anchor.
- Higher whiff rate than you’d like
- A tad less athletic and worse recovery than those in Top 20
- Absolutely a Divison 1 prospect. Has size, passion, in-season performance, mauls in run game, consistent pass set, etc. Just needs to keep working on the little things

Tobin hasn’t had the flashiest offseason compared to others on this list, but I still beleive that Tobin is a Division 1 talent and a top 5 offensive lineman in this class.
I’m honestly not too sure why Tobin hasn’t earned more attention. When I watch Tobin, I see someone of excellent size, someone who moves very well for his size, and a prospect who is always looking for ways to get better. I wish I had better notes on William’s pass blocking, but I remember him doing well at Boss Hog last month.

- Blueprint offensive guard; amazing size
- Got a TON of reps
- Does a great job of initially getting hands inside and locking out
- Looked great in positional drills
- Struggled against faster DTs- feet need to be faster
- Definitely still D1 prospect in my eyes. Works hard, great size.

One of the best offensive linemen in the KLAA. Heck, one of the best linemen in the state.
Tobin is coming off of great freshman and sophomore seasons, and he’s committed to getting better. This past season, Tobin spent most of his time at Center and was an absolute people mover. I really like Tobin’s footwork and balance in the run game- he’s able to take a firm first step, maintain a low center of gravity, lock on, and drive. Defenders don’t easily shed his blocks either- Tobin’s hands are vice grips. Still a D1 prospect in my eyes, and someone who is a definitely a gamechanger in the KLAA West.

Tobin remains ranked high, and he’s the last of the three offensive linemen in this article that I’d call relatively polished. Plus, he’s an absolute monster in the run game. Playing center, Tobin absolutely destroys defensive tackles after a quick, powerful initial step. He really knows how to engage with a block and drive- which is something that few high school linemen are any good at.
Tobin ranks just a tad lower than #1 and #2, mostly because of his slightly inferior size and positional value. I still see Tobin as a D1 prospect.

It’s easy to see why Tobin is so highly ranked in this class. First off, he checks the “size” box. He’s 6’4″, strong, and overall fits the bill for a future Division 1 lineman. Second, he good enough fundamentals in both run and pass blocking to earn those looks. Watch the tape. When run blocking, Tobin is fluid in his down blocks and plays with great balance without sacrificing much power. I watch a lot of great linemen who struggle with body control on their run blocks, so this is good to see. Second, he has a solid pass set and keeps good defenders in front of him. Sometimes there’s a hiccup in his fundamentals, but it’s not severe.
Great stuff, and I’d expect William to earn more MAC offers this offseason if his tape translates to offseason workouts.

Since we originally covered Tobin in August, he’s done nothing but continue to skyrocket as a prospect in my eyes. He is a prototypical offensive lineman that has a unique combination of strength, agility, flexibility and overall athletics. The 6’3, 270-pound Michigan trench warrior is one of the strongest 2027 prospects that I have seen and translates it over to the football field. With powerful knee drive and striking ability, William is a very natural blocker in the run game. In pass protection, William is patient and has the change of direction to stick with any defensive linemen trying to get to the quarterback. He recently won the MMWA State Championship in the heavyweight class, Tobin is a very exciting prospect at offensive line. If he keeps developing on this trajectory, he looks like he’ll be one of the top 2027 Offensive Line prospects in the state.

Most high school football coaches in America would take a two-way lineman that’s 6-foot-3 and 265-pounds (unverified). The coaches of the Hartland Area Youth Athletic Association (HAYAA) are blessed to have a Tobin, an eighth-grader, who is already that size. Hailing from about 30 minutes from Ann Arbor, and less than hour from Detroit, Tobin is an Offensive Line prospect that has some promising potential. He’s a big, physical kid that looks like he loves playing Offensive Line with a mean streak. Already benching 245-pounds, squatting 385-pounds and deadlifting 500-pounds on a Hex Bar, he’s one of the strongest football players in the country at this point. Personally, I love football players who also wrestle an that’s what Tobin brings to the table. Understands leverage and how to use full-body strength.
