Shabazz has sky-high upside in the power department. Another dude with excellent work in the weight room. Over a year ago, I watched Jordan put up 225 on the bench for an insane number of reps. In addition, his lower body has gotten stronger, and he’s gotten faster.
In-season, Shabazz has shown flashes. Currently, they’re just flashes. Every once in a while, Jordan will run through a good tackle attempt and earn those extra yards. Based on what I know about his proficiency in the weight room, Jordan is one of the strongest RBs in Michigan and has the upside to be a top 3 power RB in the state.

Shabazz settles in at RB7. I feel that if Shabazz was a year older, he’d have plenty of GLIAC attention.
That said, he’s already an experienced, well-rounded running back. Where Jordan shines most is in his power. He’s been a weight room warrior since his freshman year, putitng up a 365-lb bench press late last year. Since then, he’s also improved his 40-yard dash time. It’s apparent that Jordan has been working extremely hard to improve his game.
I beleive that Jordan has a few things to work on. The one biggest area of improvement is vision and all-around elusiveness. When I watch Jordan’s tape, he’s honestly a bit more stiff than the other RBs on this list. I feel that he can get more out of his runs.
Jordan has the tools. It seems like he has the athletic ability. If Jordan is able to upgrade his game this season, he could very easily earn a MAC offer.

This is a really, really good Running Back class. Jordan may drop a tad in the rankings, but that’s just due to so many similarly great players being added.
I view Jordan as a fringe FBS prospect. He’s one of the strongest RBs in this class, and I know he’s been working hard on his speed. From a traits standpoint, Jordan is extremely promising. His tape is also solid, but a tad behind the D1-offered backs. I’d like to see better vision, and a bit more elusiveness/twitch. A lot of his shortcomings will be fixed with film study, a ton of practice reps, and some experimentation.
A GLIAC floor player. Simply too many positive traits for Shabazz to end up anywhere lower than D2.

Shabazz is an amazing running back prospect! Sure, he may be ranked lower when it comes to this article, but he has a real shot to earn that #1 RB spot one day.
I first caught eye of Shabazz at a PowerStrength Training Systems combine. There, Shabazz was putting up insane weight for his age and size, plus, he had great testing numbers. On tape, he’s a little less explosive than some others on this list, but he stands out when it comes to contact balance and physicality. Watch his tape and see just how well Shabazz runs through arm tackles and does everything he can to stay on his feet through good tackle attempts. Keep improving, and Shabazz could be a Division 1 prospect. Like Andrew, I would not be shocked if a MAC offer came this Spring.
