About Jamison
Expert Analysis
Sam Erman | Prep Redzone Scout
Pelt is a shifty receiver with dependable hands who consistently found ways to get open. I liked his feel for space, especially against zone, where his instincts allowed him to settle into windows and present himself as an easy target. He moved the chains multiple times with key conversions and proved to be a reliable option throughout. Michigan Made came to play, and Pelt was one of those key contributors who kept the other teams honest.

Pelt used to be one of my favorite players to talk about. I kept on pounding the table for him.
Why don’t I anymore? Well, he isn’t underrated anymore. Grand Valley State offered, and Pelt committed.
What I love most about Pelt’s game are his high-end 50/50 catches. Even if he’s got a DB all over him, Pelt is still able to get hands on the ball and retain possession through contact. I’ve even watched Pelt catch a ball behind a DB’s back. Pelt is susceptible to drops, but at his best, he’s a phenomenal X receiver.

Jamison has consistently demonstrated his plethora of skills. He is a route technician, knows how to win separation and has extremely sticky hands. His wide catch radius makes him open almost automatically. I have seen him at many camps be the best and most consistent WR in attendance. He also made some significant improvements physically that allowed him to test well at the PRZ Showcase. He’s a hard worker who is in for a massive senior season.

This was an ON day for Jamison. Dude was catching everything.
As I’ve said countless times, Jamison knows how to get open, and he has a very wide catch radius. A ton of slightly high or outside throws snatched with relative ease. I even heard some college coaches discussing Jamison. Plus, he earned an offer from Hope.
Still some areas to improve for Jamison. Though when he’s “on”, Jamison has a great catch radius, hands, and body control.

Pelt did his thing. Named a top 3 receiver at camp, Jamison showed his route-running prowess. As the coaches at the combine said, Jamison just knows how to get open. Plus, he had solid testing numbers. I especially like Jamison’s change of direction- he’s able to do a shoulder fake, plant his foot, and earn separation.
In addition, Jamison does an awesome job at getting hands on the football. High, low, left, right, whatever, Jamison has the body control to position himself for success. Though Jamison does need to work on his hands. I’ve seen Jamison Moss people, but I’ve also seen him drop easier passes.

Jamison is the biggest wildcard on this list, but also potentially the most underrated.
This season, Jamison totaled 1381 yards and 22 touchdowns on 62 receptions. I don’t care what team you play on or what teams you face- that stat line is impressive.
Please watch the tape. Jamison consistently takes the top off of the defense, consistently comes down with 50/50 balls, and easily brushes off weak tackles. I’ll concede that some of his routes are a tad lazy- but I’ve seem him enough at camps to know that he’s able to run those quick, crisp routes.
Speaking of offseason camps, he was probably my #1 receiver of the entire summer of 2024. Dominant performance at the Gateway to North showcase, including several 50/50 grabs, a catch behind the DBs back, and several great grabs with poorly thrown balls. Jamison can straight-up play and I’m SO excited for him to finally get recruited.

Jamison had in incredible 200+ yard, 3 touchdown day against a state-championship defense.
He’s the definition of deep threat. His first highlight shows a deep post TD in which the coverage was blown. His second highlight is the best in my opinion, as it shows an even better route alongside great ball tracking and speed while defenders are closing in. Jamison’s third TD came with a good sail route to the right side of the endzone.
These highlights don’t do Jamison’s game justice. Having watched him this offseason, I know that he can consistently win 1on1s and make those tough contested catches against good DBs. I’m expecting a big season and some college offers this Spring.

Call it recency bias, but I am VERY high on Jamison heading into this season. In fact, I’m extremely confident he’ll be a GLIAC prospect at the very least. At the Gateway to North showcase, Jamison took over the entire camp. First off, Jamison showcased extremely quick feet and route-running. It didn’t matter if it was a slant, zig, comeback, or whatever- Jamison was one of the best route runners at camp. Second, Jamison had a few true highlight reel catches. Deep downfield, Jamison has phenomenal ball tracking and hands. He showed everything I could have hoped for, and I’m extremely interested to see his Junior year film.

Jamison may have been the most impressive receiver I’ve watched all offseason. Just about every rep was a highlight reel. Granted, the talent at the Gateway to North showcase was very hit or miss, but even against the best DBs, Jamison was incredible.
Although he’s under 6’0″, Jamison does his best work as a physical X/Z receiver. Jamison had several plays where he climbed the ladder to snag overthrown balls, or changed direction and boxed out his DB to secure a underthrown ball. On top of that, Jamison ran solid routes and was good in the middle of the field. I will say that Jamison sometimes struggles earning separation. That might be something he needs to prove before he earns the GLIAC offers I think he’s capable of receiving. Regardless, Jamison stole the show at The Gateway to North showcase and he’s someone I’ll have a close eye on moving forward.
