Impressed me a ton on the offensive side of the ball last season.
A good X receiver for Mona Shores. Can win 50/50 balls.
Well-rounded safety. Physical, willing run stopper, and impressed me in pass coverage.
All-around good IQ, above-average physicality. Will be a game-changer for a State Championship contendor.
George comes in at #5, largely due to his size and versatility. Plus, George is a better pass defender and way better run defender than some D1 prospects.
He still needs to develop slightly better instincts. Though, with his strength of competition in addition to his continued upward trajectory, he’s well on his way to being a D2 or D1 prospect. Gut says be belongs in the MAC.
George had a breakout Sophomore season with Spring Lake, then had an even better season with Mona Shores this season.
This season, Geroge had an even better season on defense. Still very rangy, still very physical, and made a few big plays. Parlay that with George’s size and athleticism, and you’ve got yourself a very good prospect. The only thing keeping George from being a D1 prospect is his IQ. I just don’t see excellent IQ.
It also helps that George played quite a bit of offense this season. He served as a great jump ball receiver and, again, displayed great physicality. A Division 2 prospect in my book, and I’d be shocked if he didn’t earn GLIAC offers this Spring.
I was generally impressed with what I saw from George, but at the same time, I didn’t watch him as closely on as many plays as I would have liked.
His Redzone interception was good. George was in the right place at the right time and secured the overthrow. Other than that, I didn’t hear his name called a whole lot defensively.
Offensively, I was intrigued by George lining up as an outside X receiver. Not many targets from what I can remember, but I absolutely love his size and potential in that area.
I am extremely bullish regarding Geroge Duggins. After a phenomenal showing at the PRZ Combine Series and more great offseason showings, I’ve never been more confident in George’s upcoming Junior season. At the Combine Series, George tested great across the board. Later in the competition period, George did enough to earn camp MVP. Later in the offseason, Geroge had several more great showings including a recent Top Performance at the SMSB 7on7. All this, and I haven’t even mentioned how much I love his Sophomore season film at Spring Lake. He’s a star in the making, a high-tier GLIAC prospect at the very LEAST, and I’m very confident he’ll have a phenomenal season at Mona Shores.
