After years of hyping up this Minnesota 2026 recruiting class, PrepRedzoneMN is happy to report that in this past month of March, the numbers can finally back up the publicity, and the Great State of Minnesota surpassed 40 juniors to have received a Division 1 offer. From Jackson County up to Alexandria, these nearly four dozen Minnesota juniors are all having life-changing off-seasons in the all-important junior year spring and eventually summer, and we had some major recruiting news, narratives, and movement from this past month of March. Check out some of the biggest storylines, offers, visits, and commitments from the past month below, only on PrepRedzoneMN!   --   [player_tooltip player_id='224134' first='Nick' last='Kinsey'] Moves to Ohio   Well, can't say I was expecting this news. Former Benilde-St. Margaret's turned Stillwater quarterback Nick Kinsey - the most prolific and well-known QB prospect Minnesota has seen in the modern era - has moved to the Buckeye State to compete for traditional power Archbishop Hoban, located in Akron. I saw some people get a tad upset at me calling Kinsey the "best QB prospect we've seen in a decade" in my announcement tweet regarding Kinsey's move, but it's absolutely the truth. The signal-caller, who was clocked as high as an 84 MPH fastball as an 8th grade pitcher on the baseball diamond, earned offers from Ole Miss and UConn before he entered the high school ranks, something that has never happened with a middle schooler from Minnesota, much less a QB, creating an almost unimaginable level of hype surrounding such a young gunslinger. The hype train only flew faster down the tracks after Kinsey earned offers from the likes of Miami (FL), Georgia Tech, and UNLV through the summer, fall, and winter of 2023, earning him as decorated of an offer sheet as we have seen from a young prospect since at least the class of 2014. To say the least, it created a lot of pressure, expectations, and haters, and I was somewhat shocked to see just how poorly Minnesota handles a high-profile QB prospect. There were, and still are, a lot of grown men hoping to see the kid fail, and although it comes with the territory of being so highly sought after, Kinsey had the chance to really put Minnesota on the national recruiting map for the all-important QB position.   The tools and raw ability that Kinsey possesses absolutely make him P4 and/or FBS worthy, and I've seen Kinsey in plenty of live situations in which he looked like the best player out there, with the size, arm talent, and command of the football that I haven't seen from a Minnesota quarterback since I was in high school myself. Kinsey also held his own in an loaded QB group at this summer's Minnesota Gophers PJ Fleck RTB Prospect Camp, competing against plenty of fellow P4 and FBS talents, and there was a lot of momentum and potential recruiting success riding on Kinsey and Stillwater's 2024 season. Unfortunately, it's safe to say that Stillwater had arguably the most disappointing season of any 2024 competitor, and with it being Kinsey's all-important junior year, the timing couldn't have been worse. Still, it didn't stop Kinsey from earning money on the recruiting trail, as NDSU's legendary now-retired QB coach Randy Hedberg made one of his last QB offers to the 2026 gunslinger, and Southern Mississippi and Eastern Michigan followed shortly after, so you can't argue that Kinsey's popularity was waning as a recruit.   However, whatever happened behind the scenes happened, and before we knew it, Kinsey is gone from the state and it's recruiting scene. It seems that the 6'3 quarterback is looking to prove himself in one of America's toughest football states, an opportunity that has the chance to pay off BIG-TIME if he can find some serious success. The bottom line is the kid has to do what he has to do, but this a blow to Minnesota's talent-rich 2026 class, especially what was looking like the potential best QB class in state history. With Kinsey now in Ohio and Khyren Haywood killin' it down in Texas, Minnesota is missing some star power at the upper echelons of their recruiting boards.   [player_tooltip player_id='212362' first='Roman' last='Voss'] Cements his Blue-Chip Status   I can't remember a Minnesota prospect who has shot as high of a percentage of visits to offers as [player_tooltip player_id='212362' first='Roman' last='Voss']. Everywhere this dude camped this summer: offer. Then, it seemed like every new college program who came to Jackson County Central High School offered, and now, Voss is on a roll on the Junior Day trail. Voss planted himself as the first Minnesotan since Jaxon Howard to earn an Alabama Crimson Tide offer, as well as the first Minnesotan to earn an offer from the new Kaleb DeBoer staff, when he visited Tuscaloosa last weekend with his family. Voss also earned an offer from USC this month, and he visited the Miami Hurricanes this past weekend, who offered the dynamic junior playmaker in January. If you adhere to the old adage "follow the visits", this has to mean that Miami has peaked his interest, and there's nothing like an Alabama offer to really shake things up. It sounds like it's been primarily Midwest contenders leading the way in his recruitment so far, namely Minnesota and Iowa, so we'll see how these SEC and ACC contenders possibly regroup his favorite suitors. I shouldn't have to elaborate to our more seasoned subscribers and recruiting fans that when NDSU signs an under-the-radar Outstate lineman, especially out of nowhere, there's a high chance they just struck gold. There's an argument to be made that North Dakota State evaluates and develops MN-born OL better than anyone, and I'm very excited to see how 2026 Pillager OT [player_tooltip player_id='1471269' first='Earl' last='Brown'] continues the tradition of excellence we expect with MN to NDSU signees. Brown was quiet on social media about his recruitment, so PRzMN was not aware that he had been offered by the Bison after a junior day visit in February, meaning that Brown was high up on the recruiting boards of the powerhouse FCS contender. He was also offered by North Dakota but has shut things down and will head to Fargo after his senior season with the AA Huskies. We saw Brown at one of last summer's PJ Fleck RTB Prospect Camps at the U, where he cemented his size and athleticism as D1-worthy, but there was still a lot of unknowns about the young man's game, leading to a somewhat under-the-radar ranking on the Big Board notched strategically in a spot to make a big jump. Well, nothing like an NDSU offer to solidify an OL's skillset and collegiate upside. Get out of Brown's way in 2025!   <a href="https://twitter.com/EarlBfootball74/status/1905317639523557486">https://twitter.com/EarlBfootball74/status/1905317639523557486</a>   [player_tooltip player_id='1104843' first='Kade' last='Bush'] to Arkansas   March was a big month for 2026 commitments, and we saw the state's biggest off-season junior stock riser come off the board last month in Chanhassen's TE [player_tooltip player_id='1104843' first='Kade' last='Bush']. I'm happy to report that the Chanhassen to Arkansas pipeline is still alive and well, and it's always a good sign of a state's recruiting talent to have SEC commits in the thick of things. In terms of TE scouting and evaluations, the size & YAC ability combination reign supreme, as well as contested catches and blocking, of course, and Bush is undoubtedly one of the more dynamic big men and projected TEs we've seen in at least the last few cycles out of Minnesota. The 6'4, 220 lber. was the offensive lynchpin to Chanhassen's Class 5A state semifinal run, lining up at a variety of positions throughout the season, including wildcat QB, where his contact balance, quickness, soft hands, and general elusiveness almost always produced positive yardage and were a nightmare for defenders in the open field. The big thing with Bush not holding down a higher ranking before the 2024 season was a lack of any kind of verified, in-person evaluations. Bush - nor his 2026 high-powered Chan teammate [player_tooltip player_id='490046' first='Owen' last='Linder'] - camped anywhere last summer to our knowledge, but his 2024 production and film were great, and his reported athletic numbers are undoubtedly eye-catching, and although Bush was hurt early into the offseason and didn't work out for college programs, the numbers must hold up, as you can see explosiveness, twitch, and body control in his junior tape and colleges do their due diligence before offering. It was a busy month for Bush, as he visited Arkansas, Utah State, and Utah, and was offered by Washington State and Wyoming, but he must have seen all he needed to and will head to the SEC in Fayetteville. Can't wait to see how this kid develops in an SEC strength and conditioning program.   <a href="https://twitter.com/kade_bush/status/1905287817560813867">https://twitter.com/kade_bush/status/1905287817560813867</a>   [player_tooltip player_id='402072' first='Dalton' last='DeBoer'] Earns Big10 and P4 offer #1   Speaking of big months, Holy Angels' gargantuan 2026 OT and projected iOL [player_tooltip player_id='402072' first='Dalton' last='DeBoer'] had the most fruitful month of any Minnesota prospect, earning 8 FCS offers as well as his first B1G offer from the Purdue Boilermakers. He also earned an FBS offer from Florida Atlantic, making for a fantastic month overall on the recruiting trail. I know that DeBoer earned an ACC offer from SMU in August of 2024, but I doubt that offer is committable now, and I was waiting and wondering when a more regional suitor was going to get involved. I agree with Purdue that this kid is a P4 talent, as his tape, verified athletic data points, and size show off a huge, physical, and mobile prep OT who can effectively pull off a variety of blocks with success. I'm under the impression that DeBoer fits very well into the B1G mold of run-heavy, man-on-man trench warfare, and if I was him, I'd seriously consider joining the Boilermakers 2026 recruiting class. The dynamic junior was offered by Duke and Penn State, took a Junior Day visit to Iowa, a spring ball visit to Northwestern, and locked in an official visit with Iowa State. He'll be joined in Ames by current Minnesota-born Iowa State commits [player_tooltip player_id='591990' first='Caleb' last='Francois'] (Minnetonka) and [player_tooltip player_id='592222' first='Ethan' last='Beckman'] (Prior Lake), who I'm sure will be doing their best to sway Petersohn into their 2026 signing class. With his elite athletic measureables, on-field versatility, and exceptional multi-sport background, he's going to be a massive land for whoever can get this one across the finish line, and if you follow the visits, Minnesota, Iowa, Northwestern, and Iowa State all seem to be heading the pack right now. This is a 4-star kid with long-term Sunday upside and potential who, despite the rash of offers, is still nationally underrated.   #Gophers News   Golden Gopher Instate Offer Splash   It was a notable month for followers of any and all Minnesota Golden Gophers recruiting news, as well as major validation for the potentially-legendary Moorhead 2027 class. The Gophers hosted the vaunted trio of sophomore Spuds on the weekend of March 29th, and before the unofficial visit concluded, wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1629849' first='David' last='Mack'] and running back [player_tooltip player_id='1288313' first='Taye' last='Reich'] left as B1G and Golden Gopher offerees. For Mack, the twitchiest, most productive, and most polished sophomore WR I've seen with PRZ, this was offer #1 overall, a great move by the hometown team to get a major foothold in early to the standout two-sporter from Moorhead. For RB Reich, this is offer #3 overall, as well as P4 offer #2 and B1G offer #1, as the best camp summer season from a MN high school freshman we've seen in a while led to Kansas State and North Dakota offers last June and July. Reich is one of the most developed and athletic tailbacks we've seen come out of MN in quite some time, posting the best testing numbers I've ever seen from a freshman RB last summer while already carrying a ton of varsity reps under belt. These are only the second and third home state offers the Gophers have thrown to the 2027 class, and I can't emphasize enough how important I think it is/was that the Gophers got in early. It's also important to note that quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1194605' first='[player_tooltip player_id='1194604' first='Jett' last='']' last='Feeney'] was on the visit, but due to the fact that he plays QB, I think that there is a longer road in terms of evaluations. Feeney also visited Northwestern and South Florida this past month. One of my favorite overall takeaways from last month on the recruiting scene came out of the Northern Sun and Marshall-based Southwest Minnesota State. The Mustangs made a thrilling wave of offers to 2026 prospects out of their home state, many of which were the prospect's first offer, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that a few of the offered 2026s weren't on our radar yet, so great job by SMSU in putting their nose to the grindstone and doing their due diligence in the evaluation process. All of these juniors have obvious upside and noticeable strengths and traits in their game, and it's always important and impressionable as a college suitor to get that first offer in a prospect's pocket. After years of hyping up this Minnesota 2026 recruiting class, PrepRedzoneMN is happy to report that in this past month of March, the numbers can finally back up the publicity, and the Great State of Minnesota surpassed 40 juniors to have received a Division 1 offer.
