A 2028 that PRZMN is absolutely itching to see get varsity reps and action in the 6A ranks, Anoka’s Alpha Assibu Alpha Assibu 6'3" | 175 lbs | ATH/QB Anoka | 2028 State MN is a strong multi-sport prospect in Minnesota’s 2028 class who also clocks in at #117 in PrepHoops 2028 Rankings while running with Anoka and the MN Comets. Assibu aided Anoka’s varsity hoops team to a 15-12 record in 2025-26 , averaging 6.5 PPG, 3.8 RPG, and 1.9 APG a game, but we’re very bullish on his projection as a football player into the next level.

A JV standout more than ready to break out in 2026, Assibu is a mobile QB with good touch downfield and push the ball vertically with accuracy and arm strength. That same noticeable arm strength shows up on a variety of throws, and he can also throw off-platform, and additionally displays jittery footwork in the open field and will run behind his pads and put a hurtin’ on would-be tacklers at the contact point. Can’t wait to see this kid on the camp trail this summer.

A sophomore out of the 6A ranks that we have been dying to see live and in person, PRZMN was stoked to see Anoka’s Alpha Assibu Alpha Assibu 6'3" | 175 lbs | ATH/QB Anoka | 2028 State MN running with Next Level Athletes on the MN 7v7 circuit. The tallest athlete on NLA, I’d bet he’s measuring in at or near the 6’3 range, and he stood out (in a good way) thanks to his pajama pants that were a nice comfy contrast to the violence he putting out on the turf against opposing DBs. Assibu had one of the plays of the day, breaking the absolute mess out of an MN Air Raid DB’s ankles after the catch, near the goal line, and in the open field, impressively highlighting his twitch and elusiveness, and he was also a polished route runner who scored on a smooth slant around the goal line against 18U competition. A stud hooper with Anoka and on the AAU circuit, Assibu is a big-time name to watch out of underrated talent factory Anoka and their 2028 class.

After a strong showing during his freshman year on JV, Alpha Assibu Alpha Assibu 6'3" | 175 lbs | ATH/QB Anoka | 2028 State MN may be very well in prime contention for the starting QB job on Anoka’s varsity team in 2025. I was really impressed with Assibu’s improvisational ability and poise under duress, showing great throwing motion and impressive throwing strength, slinging several deep throws with just the flick of the wrist. Showing great mobility, Assibu is just as dangerous on the run, showing solid accuracy out of the pocket and ball-carrier vision like a RB to cut around defenders. These traits give Assibu an edge toward earning the starting role, and it will be interesting to see whether Assibu earns the job heading into this fall.
