Fresh off receiving offers from schools like UW-Stevens Point, Augsburg, UW-Eau Claire, and a D2 snag from Jamestown, Borchers enters his senior season as one of the more underrated LBs in AAAAAA. His junior tape is very encouraging. Borchers is comfortable playing as both an on-ball and off-ball linebacker, providing a legitimate threat off the edge while also being perfectly adept at serving in space. He does an excellent job of shedding the first block he comes in contact with, whether it be quickly displacing a lead blocker or fighting off a big OT. Borchers wastes no time in his pursuit of the ball carrier either. Despite playing with this aggressiveness, he maintains a solid football IQ. He doesn’t really get baited into leaving his responsibility and can make plays in the opposite direction due to his quick hips and determination. He’s big, physical, and a grinder. Get ready to see a lot of Borchers in 2026.
