is one of the more dynamic and physically/athletically eye-catching prospects in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. He once again put up impressive and noteworthy athletic numbers during testing, positively prompting a move from the DB to LB group, coordinated by the Gophers’ staff themselves. Benson has the build for the D1 ranks, but it’ll be about putting it together on film, as well as the right fit/projection/scheme, both at the prep and college level, for this versatile 2028 to shine. The kid is building some momentum, though, that’s for sure.

is one of the more memorable defensive backs we’ve covered with PRZMN. A starter at CB for 4A powerhouse Totino-Grace in 2025, Benson has since transferred to Anoka and is the second-half of an outrageous CB tandem for the Tornadoes going into 2026. Check out these numbers on the sophomore (!) corner: 6’3.5″, 213 lbs. 82″ wing, 9.75″ hands, and posted a 5.06 laser 40, 4.70 shuttle, 7.23 L-drill, and 10′ broad jump. During 1v1s, Benson was surprisingly nimble and loose-hipped, and he was overwhelmingly big, long, and strong as a presser and generally throughout a WR’s route. With good experience in man coverage, Benson earned some impressive and dominant wins during 1v1s, and although his ceiling is far higher closer to the LOS he goes, it says something about Benson’s versatility, athleticism, and competitiveness that he can play CB at a high level. Very interesting 2028 to keep an eye on next season.
