I’ve begun to sing Anoka’s praises gong into the 2026 season, and honestly, I think the Tornadoes are ready to back me up. The 6A up-and-comer’s roster is stacked, and I mean stacked, with scholarship talent. Big, long, mean corners, scholarship safeties, SDSU commit and more Big Bodies in the trenches, and of course, and offensive attack that features NSIC commits across the board and some serious metal in the trenches. Amongst the names to know is a 2028 RB with some serious size and momentum carrying him into the fall in Moses Boyce Jr., who came onto our radar at the PRZMN Spring Showcase. With verified size that passes the eye test, Boyce Jr. is built like a side-by-side UTV and runs a laser-verified in the high 4.7s/low 4.8s, Boyce Jr. also possesses nimble feet and some notable juice with the ball in-hand, so I’m very curious how Anoka intends to use him and to what degree Boyce Jr. can impact his offense and/or defense in 2026. However, I know he’s going to make himself felt when he gets on the field, no matter how that looks. Personally, he seems like a great complimentary back to MSU-Mankato RB commit Brody Rush Brody Rush 5'11" | 205 lbs | RB/LB Anoka | 2027 State MN , but Boyce Jr. also has soft hands and could shift into a defensive role if called upon as well. Boyce had a breakout sophomore campaign last season, tallying 246 rushing yards and 4 TDs while averaging a solid 4.3 ypc. He also caught 3 balls for 79 yards. His 2025 tape is impressive. On it, he showcases impressive contact balance, speed, and power, especially for a sophomore. I really liked his vision, both as a ball carrier and as a pass catcher out of the backfield. He’s able to anticipate run lanes opening and closing and can gash defenses in a variety of ways for explosive gains. Boyce has fantastic patience when letting screens develop, baiting out defenders until the last possible second before the ball is thrown. He also doesn’t mind waiting a step behind the LOS so the play can develop. The tape and athletic upside are clear; there’s a reason why Boyce is ranked so highly, and I expect big things to come for the 2028 prospect shortly.

A 2028 out of Coon Rapids and Anoka High School, it was hard not to be impressed by Moses Boyce Jr. Moses Boyce Jr. 6'0" | 210 lbs | RB Anoka | 2028 State MN . on Saturday at the PRZMN Spring Showcase. A big, strong, strapping 6′, 205 lber. with big hands and a sturdy frame that could add more mass and brawn in a college S&C program, Boyce Jr. went 4.81 and 4.85 in the 40 – on the lasers – and I was very impressed by his nimbleness and light feet during indy and drill work. He was springy, powerful, and explosive, with noticeable burst from a dead stop and some juice as a route runner, getting open on a variety of routes and against some quality LB competition on the turf in Plymouth. With 57 carries for 246 rushing yards and 4 TDs + 3 catches for 79 yards as a sophomore with Anoka’s varsity last fall, I think Boyce Jr. is on serious breakout watch going into the fall.
