Fresh off the press, and right at the time this article was set to go live, Edina’s monstrous defensive tackle

entered the ranks of P4 offerees after the Boston College Eagles reached out with the young man’s first ACC offer. The P4 scholarship was the culmination of a busy spring that resulted in the 260 pounder earning offers from South Dakota State, Army, Washington State, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, and South Dakota, all since March. The Edina product is capable of taking over a play, a drive, and even a game, with real pass-rush juice from the interior and verified size and measureables that you can’t ignore. Coming off a junior season in which the massive DT posted 21 TFLs and 3 sacks, I think Jezierski is an early shoe-in for an All-State/All-Metro selection and capable of really blowing up and expanding his offer sheet in the coming month.

One of my darlings of the 2026 class, Edina’s standout junior defensive tackle

had one of the best personal performances I’ve seen from a Minnesotan during the 2024 season during Edina’s beatdown of Eden Prairie early in September. Big-bodied, athletic 3Ts and defensive tackles are one of the most coveted, and hard-to-find, and although Jezierski has unverified size, he passes the eye test in the multiple exposure points I’ve seen on him, and he had solid testing numbers from the summer camp circuit as well. The best time to see Jezierski is absolutely padded up and under the bright lights of a Friday, and eventually Saturday, night. The brighter the spotlight, the better Jezierski plays, and in a giant game against Eden Prairie, Jezierski played like a madman and was all over the field as a constant presence and disruptor against a good Eden Prairie interior OL.
The tape is some of the most fun and impressive I’ve seen in the 2026 class of MN so far. He displays an impressive get-off and first step, lead in his hands, and active, quick, hand usage, and is a crushing tackler and thrives in the contact-heavy trenches of Minnesota Big School football. His ability to win in 1v1 situations, both in run and pass rushing spots, stands out on tape as well. Jezierski displays a nasty arm-over and strong chop/rip and is also effective and sometimes dominant with bull rushes and power moves, so much so that he has knocked OL back into their own RBs. Plus, he’s laterally agile and shows some impressive twitch for a DT of his size, as well as good pad level and a strong base and eats and fights through contact well. He’s also instinctive and has a nonstop motor between the whistles, and has a good rep of him retracing and running down a screen from the Eden Prairie game. The body control, combination of power and twitch, physicality, and overall film looks like a FBS-worthy DT. North Dakota and Iowa State have both gotten gameday visits out of Jezierski, but I have to say that I do think he’s still under-the-radar and his junior tape isn’t making the rounds like it should. Hopefully, this helps!

(Edina) DL. – Saw his rank rise from #35 to #21 in Minnesota
14-spot jump for another Big School defensive lineman out of the former Lake Conference, Edina’s Sawyer Jezierski ballooned from a 6’4, 200 lb. DE in 2022 to a 6’4, 240 lb. DT and DE as a sophomore with the Hornets. I remember seeing some good things out of the Hornet in his first-year film, but there wasn’t a ton of it, and given the fact he was buried deep down the depth chart, I knew he needed a productive offseason to really get a sense of him as a prospect. Well, he’s blown away expectations, finishing his sophomore campaign with 41 tackles (20 solo), 6 TFLs, 4 sacks, and 2 FFs, all while manning the trenches for the Class 6A runner-up and seeing some of the best offensive lines the state had to offer.
The DT, who rocks #32, a fact that I love, usually aligns as a 3T but lined up all over the interior of the DL. He plays with a strong base, low pad level, and heavy hands that help him absorb, redistribute, and make tackles through contact along the interior of the LOS. He does a good job of shedding blocks when he drops his hips and rips and pulls blockers with his hands, and in general, is effective at not getting tied up and shocking and disengaging from blocking attempts. Jezierski also displays a good get-off, shows some twitch, and can execute stunts and twists successfully, he has a good rep that I like where he gets upfield, smells screen, retraces, and runs down the RB to negate what could have been a big gain. Plus, he used an effective bull rush, as well as an arm-over successfully, and he’s got a nonstop motor overall. If Jezierski can keep adding strength while maintaining that quickness and athleticism, I think he’s on track to earn a P4 offer next school year. It would help to get some verified data on him, so hopefully he can make a stop at a PrepRedzoneMN Showcase as well!

Part of the reason Harper didn’t have many explosive runs was because of Jezierski. He stuffed an inside run on third and short. He got off a block and stuffed another run at the point of attack. After another solo tackle, he and Kellen Chapuran stuffed another inside run.

With one of the state’s top 2025 prospects, the Edina Hornets are poised to continue some recruiting success and momentum into their 2026 class, which includes their massive rising sophomore DL

. Measuring in at an unconfirmed yet impressive 6’4, 240ish, Jezierski was dominant against non-varsity competition as both a 3T and 5T and rag-dolled and tossed opposing OL aside like they were practice dummies or bull rushed them backward and onto their butts like they were on skates. As a well-built freshman last fall, he was obviously heavy-handed but also showed that he can close, use his hands well, throw a little bit of twitch at blocking attempts, and of course, be a hammer at the contact point. For a larger and younger DL, he’s overall slick at getting off blocking attempts but can utilize power to lethal effect as well. If Jezierski keeps growing, adding strength, and developing his skillset on top of what he showed as a freshman as he’s got the chance to play at some high levels of college football. PRzMN will be monitoring him closely.
