moved from Stillwater to Edina to play out his senior season, and Edina will be quite excited to work with him. Last season, Egge caught 28 passes for 382 yards and 2 touchdowns. Egge is gleaming with athletic potential, including a 4.62 40 yard time, a 35″ vertical, a 235 lb max bench, and a 355 lb max squat. His numbers from last year looked respectable, but his performance hit beyond what his stats show. Egge is elusive and has very sharp footwork, whether on his route breakdowns, or with his quick cuts and jukes to get around defenders, and Egge is easily able to burn defenders after the catch, and as a return specialist. Egge is slated to immediately have a major role on Edina’s offense next season, and Egge could be a big factor in boosting Edina’s team back to the state championship game in 2025.

Everything finally clicked for Egge during his Week 5 performance, where he brought down 5 receptions for a very impressive 104 yards and 2 TDs. Both of those TDs were impressive chunk plays as Egge managed to score from 39 and 41 yards out respectively. He nearly doubled his season total yards during Week 5 and the #4 WR in the class of 2026 should continue to cause headaches for defenses throughout the rest of his junior year.

The PRzMN 2026 rankings are littered with high-potential WRs, and there will be a lot of continued movement from this group as they develop, grow, and excitedly add varsity experience to their enlarging resumes as college football prospects. One of these wideouts who will more than likely be a mainstay at or near the top of the charts is St. Michael-Albertville’s

, who was the most productive freshman receiver in the Land of 10,000 Lakes last year. He didn’t get varsity reps however, but STMA is a 6A program who had an established crop of offensive weapons last fall, so I’m not too worried about the lack of varsity action in 2022. However, he’ll need to contribute to varsity this fall, as his fellow WR peers in the top end of the rankings surely will. Luckily, he’s got the qualities to make it happened. A big reason he surpassed some of the wideouts he was previously behind was his testing numbers at our PRzMN Showcase back in December, where his top end speed and COD skills came out better than his competitors. He also sports a noticeably strong lower body, a good frame, and after meeting his dad, I think he’s got the potential to keep growing significantly. He’s also one of the most well-traveled freshman competitors in MN, and has competed at camps and showcases across the state, region, and nation, all with success.
Then there’s the production and freshman tape, in which he posted 1,010 receiving yards and 9 TDs and displayed splash play ability in all three phases of the game. Egge has the speed to take the top off the defense and out-run pursuers to finish big plays, the capacity to drop his hips to create separation at the top of the route, elusiveness, burst, and contact balance after the catch, and ball skills, concentration, and control while playing the football in the air. He was dominant vs. non-varsity competition in 2022, and now needs to transition and apply it to big boy varsity ball in the Metro.

If I had to dish out an MVP from the 2026 class at the Crown College Elite Camp, my vote would have been for St. Michael-Albertville wide receiver

. Owen played way above his age with the skillsets he laid out there in Saint Bonifacius. He was extremely efficient with his catch & go instincts, as Owen showed off a high amount of short burst once the ball came into his hands. His route-running is extremely twitchy with his change of direction as he got ample separation in 1v1s last weekend by his reactive instinct that could tie up several defensive backs feet that were upperclassmen last Saturday. After seeing him at Crown and at SDSU on Thursday, I certainly believe Owen is going to be a climbing stockriser in next 2026 rankings update in Minnesota as this young man I can already say will be playing scholarship-level football in his future and that is not something I say persistently about the young 2026 class.

Even though his film is not against varsity competition, Egge is a big play waiting to happen. Against freshmen defenses, he had three touchdowns 80 yards or over. Two were from the wide receiver position, and one was a 99-yard interception return for a touchdown. His speed and length made him stand out. He is a deep threat who could score at any time, but he can catch the ball underneath and even run the ball out of the backfield. During the offseason, he caught two balls – one for a touchdown and one by outjumping the defensive back on a contested ball at the Dream All-American Bowl in Los Angeles.
