Pulling across the formation from right tackle or moving outside on a reach block, Kampsen plays well in space. He is good in space because of his footwork and the solid base he starts with in his lower half. He keeps his hips low, allowing him to move quickly laterally and keeping his pads under his opponents. His straight-line speed gets him across the formation on a trap block as quickly as anyone could expect for an athlete his size. Not just a finesse player, with that low pad level and ever-moving feet, Kampsen can bury defenders – especially when he has an angle on his opponent.
