is a familiar face to PRZMN on the offseason circuit, as he’s a diligent worker and a long-time trainee of 612Q’s. Although the 2025 season did not go as planned for both Wayzata and Soukup himself, the kid is still a can’t-miss quarterback in a non-padded competitive setting and especially, as he proved yesterday, in an off-platform context. The forklift of a quarterback was pretty much on the $ all afternoon long, showing off a smooth, compact, and quick release that was arguably the best on the move of the non-seniors in attendance. A lot of the drills had “rushers” in the face or simulating pressure of the thrower, and Soukup was especially proficient at getting the ball out quickly, with velocity, and from a variety of different arm angles. I also liked his twitchy short-area movement ability and concise footwork also stood out in an off-platform setting, and it was easy to see that Soukup’s tremendous overall strength allowed him to easily complete and handle tougher throws from difficult, uncomfortable, yet applicable to game setting angles that other QBs in his class struggled with. Never hurts to hit the weight room. Going to be a huge “prove it” year for Wayzata in 2026, and Soukup will be right at the forefront of this comeback season. Keep an eye on this forklift of a QB this coming summer as well.

thrived as a strong leader for the Trojans’ offense. Soukup threw for 1043 yards, 12 TDs, and 6 INTs while rushing for 137 yards and 3 TDs. Since merging into the varsity lineup during his sophomore year, Soukup continues to grow more comfortable in command of the offense, standing out already with his potent frame and athleticism for the position as well as his big arm, Soukup also showed improvement with his ball placement and timing as the season went on. Soukup has all the makings of becoming a great Pro-style QB at the next level, and he’s bound to receive several D1 offers coming his way very soon.

Thor has been on our radar consistently for PRZ Minnesota since he was an 8th grader and the QB3 in the 2027 class showed off why the Division I interest has started flowing as we expected. He’s always had monsterous arm strength on all three levels of the field, but what I noticed in watching Thor on Sunday is he’s gotten more balanced since my last live eval when it comes his ball placement. He set up a handful of wide receivers nicely to get downfield from that ball placement I noted. I’ll be curious to see who and when the first domino drops for Thor with his first offer, as I think it could certainly be soon.

If you asked me to pick the best performer from the final coaching session, Soukup would be tied for my choice among all the prep QBs. Boasting the frame of a collegiate linebacker, Soukup is thick and perhaps had the best overall arm talent on display last night. Soukup has a cannon for an arm and showed off the ability to throw 50+ yards on a rope downfield. This isn’t the first time this summer the 2027 standout has caught PRZ’s attention either, and each time he continues to impress. He’ll compete for the QB1 role for the Trojans this fall, but there’s no question about the upside he possesses.

made the prep transfer splash of the offseason so far, announcing to us at the PRzMN Stock-Up Showcase that he was now enrolled at Wayzata. he then followed it up with an MVP performance out of the QB group at last December’s Stock-Up Showcase, and if you didn’t figure it out by the introduction, this kid has some serious arm talent. Not only that, he’s also the most physically imposing QB in the 2027 class, as well as at yesterday’s 612Qs Academy workout, at a rock solid 6’2, 220ish with a massive lower body, broad shoulders, and more room to continue to fill in. Soukup could put some serious heat on the ball, with a baseball-esque delivery and a super tight spiral that can push the ball all over the field with velocity. Soukup was a bit up and down in the accuracy department, but the young man is still only a sophomore and has a ton of football left in his prep career. Loved watching him sling it around yesterday in Savage.

One of the most physically impressive QBs at the showcase, Soukup got built since the last time I saw him. Our QB MVP showcased his talented arm early and managed to go ball for ball with proven varsity starters. He too showcased a talented arm and was able to hit tight windows at all three levels of the field. His stock keeps rising every time I see him and I’m pumped to watch his development this offseason.
