One of the most intriguing tight end prospects in the state, Hauge recently announced his commitment to Mountain West staple Air Force Academy. Playing in such a run-dominated offense, it’s no surprise that Hauge is such a potent blocker. The dude gets after when asked to protect his ball carrier, frequently working to the second level and displacing large defensive linemen at the point of attack. I love the physicality he plays with, and he fights tooth and nail through the whistle. When he does get the opportunity to catch balls, Hauge possesses a shockingly quick release and nice hands as well. The Academy got a good one in Hauge.

Even though we have Henry graded on the other side of the ball, seeing him take defensive linemen reps last Saturday, really intrigued both of our PRZ scouts in attendance. I felt Henry surely pointed that the upside might even be bigger than we thought when it comes down to his position flexibility at the next-level. I was impressed with the excellent speed and control Henry had in the punches he landed during Indy reps at the LOS Big Dawgs Camp and that wasn’t all either. He looked a lot more comfortable than you would expect with the instincts he showed off rep after rep he took. Henry also showed off the fluidity while watching his athletic movement, and didn’t show one ounce of quit in that motor he has all day. This young man has already had himself a hot month with three D1 offers in the month of March including two FBS offers as well as this Lakeville South target surely isn’t done and I know will be a hot commodity this camp season.

Despite an already top-tier ranking, Lakeville South’s 2026 TE

should see another bump in the upcoming 2026 official rankings update, as he’s added weight, speed, strength, and nastiness since his sophomore season and the tape looks good upon first, second, and third viewings. It’s also exciting to see the hometown Gophers have been all over the talented TE since he camped in Dinkytown in June. He took an unofficial to the U in late July, and a gameday last weekend for the crazy upset of USC. This has come with a lot of recruiting graphics in between, and Hauge has also visited NDSU during his junior season. His athletic numbers are also strong, as he’s a verified 6’4, 240, and has tested as a 4.8-4.9 40, 8’+ broad, and 4.5-4.8 shuttle kid at multiple exposure points, including our own PRzMN event. Now in his second year starting varsity on one of Minnesota’s best Big School teams in one of its most talented areas, Hauge is really starting to dominate the competition.
I’ll give him credit, early in Hauge’s career I remember mentioning that a move to OL may be in his future, but he’s really added a pass-catching element to his game, which can be credited to a dedicated 7v7 career. Reliable hands, good burst, solid route runner, knows when to cut off his routes when his QB is extending plays. Hauge is fluid, strong, runs like a deer, and is a terror at the second and third level when erasing defenders in the run game. Great balance and body control, Hauge also displays good pop in his hands, consistently runs his feet after contact, and will bully DBs and LBs once he gets a good hold on them. He is a tough, 6’4, 240 lb. mismatch for defenses to adjust to, and can easily handle DL, LBs, and DBs alike. The functional athleticism, verified size & athleticism, and effectiveness as a blocker, coming out of a state and region that respects the run game, makes me think he’s got some big offers in his future. Yet another big-time prospect out of Lakeville!

. I should have given a little more credence to Hauge’s dominance as a freshman playing against non-varsity competition, and his size was a good indicator as well, but there were freshmen above him who played varsity, and although Hauge attending high school in arguably the most talent-rich area in the state prevented him from being higher ranked as a frosh, it’s paying dividends now as a sophomore. It also doesn’t hurt that Hauge had the #1 top performance in April’s PrepRedzoneMN Combine Series stop in Plymouth, measuring in at 6’5, 233 lbs. and popping off a 4.81 40, 4.75 short-shuttle, and 8’6″ broad jump. Those are some seriously impressive athletic numbers for a sophomore of his size, and although his sophomore tape is filled with blocking prowess, Hauge does have a bit of game as a TE, proving it at both the PRzMN Combine Series 1v1 reps and in his 7on7 game from this offseason.
However, in pads, this dude can turn on the physicality with no issues. Hauge possesses significant length in his build and owns a lean frame with as much room to fill in as you’d ever want, he runs like a deer and does have some reps of him catching the football, showing good concentration and the toughness to finish receptions through contact. However, it’s all about the blocking, and Hauge is a natural at it. The 230 lber. can easily climb and combo to the second level, and watching run-down safeties deep downfield doesn’t get old either. He shows the strength to handle DEs in 1-on-1 blocking assignments but has room to grow as a finisher and in terms of really enforcing his will in the run game. However, he shows great technique, isn’t shy about playing physically, and does a good job of using his length and effective body positioning to eliminate assignments from the play. Hauge is definitely more TE-inclined – in a good way – than a lot of TEs who project to OT in college usually are, and the athletic numbers can speak to that, but his frame, natural blocking ability, and role in the Cougars offense all speak to what could be a very fruitful future at OT. Tackles with his athletic ability usually thrive. Either way, Hauge is going to be a fun one to watch grow and develop, along with his future recruitment.
