is legitimately one of the most dynamic and interesting prospects I’ve covered in my time with PRZMN. I still remember the first time I saw the eye-catcher – then a freshman – at the Minnesota Gophers’ prospect camp, and boy was he defined for his age. He’s gone onto to play a ton of varsity minutes at a variety of different positions but as a junior has settled into his natural position at LB now that he’s an upperclassman. Clarksean is also the owner of some eye-popping track numbers for his size (46’11” shot put, 132’4″ discus, 11.48 100M, 22.99 200M), and he’s adding to his versatile resume in the winter by performing for Mankato West’s now state-qualifying varsity hockey team, logging an appearance this season for the Scarlets booming hockey squad.
However, his best work undoubtedly comes on the football field, where the junior, who now reports to measure in at 6’2, 215, tallied 71 tackles (1st on team), 10 TFLs (1st on team), 5 sacks (1st on team) in 2025 for a strong junior campaign in Minnesota’s Class 5A. Clarksean shows rangy play speed and runs the alley with effectiveness as well as aggression, and he sees and sifts through traffic smoothly and efficiently in search of the pigskin and works up and under climbing iOL around the box. The 210ish-pounder takes great angles to the football and scrapes flat across the LOS effectively and is a productive blitzer who closes and gets hip to hip with hesitating QBs before they can react. He man-handled and rag-dolled some ball-carriers in 2025 to highlight his strength and physicality as a ILB, which all came together visually against Mahtomedi. Clarksean had a very impressive 1v1 goal line tackle against Mahtomedi that saw him stuff the Zephyrs RB right at the 1-yard line, pad to pad, sticking him and freezing him right in his tracks before running his feet for a big showing of power and thumping ability. Also suplexed a Mahtomedi RB later in the game in WWE-esque fasion. If Clarksean can post the athletic numbers he seems to be displaying on tape this summer on the Summer Camp Circuit he’ll be our biggest stock riser come next update! Stay tuned!

Clarksean might now have seen the most production as a sophomore ball carrier, taking 13 carries for 71 yards last year. But there is a lot to be excited about from this 2027 Swiss-Army knife. A three-sport (Football/Hockey/Track) athlete who puts up eye-popping numbers in the weight room, Clarksean is a physical force on the gridiron. On his tape, he’s a hyper-aggressive run blocker who frequently drives defenders into the dirt. As a ball carrier, he also possesses surprising quickness for a prospect of his size. Expect Clarksean to elevate during his junior year.

has been making waves and keeping his presence known since he was a freshman, and especially during last summer’s camp circuit. Clarksean, with his lean, filled-out, and still-developing frame, was an eye-catcher on the camp circuit who posted some solid athletic numbers for his age, leading to some serious hype surrounding the Scarlets’ young buck going into his sophomore season. A varsity starter in 2024, Clarksean showed why there’s so much hype surrounding the young man, as he proved to be more than capable of moving mass and opening up seams as a TE/HB hybrid.
Clarksean can dominate at the contact point and win 1v1 blocks against bigger and older DEs with authority, driving them onto their backs for aggressive finishes and using his nonstop leg drive post-contact to run defenders 20+ yards downfield. The Mankato West sophomore is a powerful kid who plays with an aggressive edge and shows a rare ability to beat opponents up physically as a 200-ish pound underclassman. The words “strong” and “physical” echoed through my head while I watched his sophomore tape, and he threw some huge blocks on kickoff return duty for good measure. To highlight the versatility, Clarksean got reps at DL, where his get-off and lateral agility helped him run down ball carriers in the backfield for TFLs, as well as at RB, where he proved himself to be a nimble ball carrier with solid vision, effective cuts, and some contact balance to boot. Clarksean will lower the pads and run your butt over if you don’t come prepared, shows noticeable fight and determination with the rock in hand, and has good overall lateral agility and balance. Not sure where he projects best, it’s hard not to think LB, but he’s got a lot of runway left to find out.

is looking like a shoe-in to continue the Scarlets trend of big-time prospects over the past few recruiting cycles. A well-built 6’1, 200 lber. who tested well for his age at various stops on the summer camp tour, Clarksean was a starter on varsity for the Scarlets and kept the recruiting momentum going into the season as he visited the Wisconsin Badgers on a gameday visit in early September. The combination of versatility and physicality immediately jumps out on tape. In the first couple minutes of Clarksean’s tape, the sophomore lines up at TE, FB, HB, and DL, and brings a physical and aggressive edge and play style that helps him dominate at the point of attack against older, experienced combination. The 200 lber. is a sticky run-blocking TE who is hard to disengage from and can finish blocks with physicality. Great hand placement, runs his feet well, and is motivated and strong enough to handle defensive linemen as a sophomore, he wins a ton of 1v2 blocking assignments and stamps them with physicality and some big collisions in a variety of situations. He also shows some splash play ability as a ball carrier with good burst but can also get you tough yardage. He’s able to slip and run through tackle attempts with his strong lower body and will drop his pads and run with authority. As a DL, he shows a good first step and can beat iOL with his quickness. We’ll see how his size and positional projection to the college level continue to develop, but right now, Clarksean looks like the top name-to-know out of the traditional 5A powerhouse.
