The first Minnesota 2028 that caught the attention in my notebook was Mankato West defensive linemen

. The just over 6’2 220 pounder showed off his well-versed length he had with his wingspan. The biggest area caught my attention with Wyatt was how twitchy his change of direction showed off to be in the DL group as his pro agility showed off quickly what I saw consistently in reps as he ran in the 4.5s with that nearly 6’3 220 pound frame. His release off the snap also appeared to be very sudden in the 1v1 reps I got to watch from the Scarlets defensive end in the 2028 class. Last night’s outing could surely make him a stockriser in my opinion next time we update the 2028 Minnesota rankings.

had a strong showing at the PRZMN Spring Showcase. After popping off a 4.39 shuttle and 8’1 broad at a verified 6’4, 226 lbs. with a 6’4″ wingspan and 9″ hands, Bartell was bendy, flexible, and long, which made him dangerous at the top of the arc, and his balance made him a threat when attacking either shoulder of an offensive tackle. This sophomore is going to make some noise on the 2026 Summer Camp Circuit.

Wyatt dominated one-on-one pass‑rush reps, showing explosive get-off, effective use of length, and speed to beat tackles off the edge consistently. He approached each rep with a competitive mindset and always had something fun to say to his fellow campers after and between drills. With his two-way utility, athletic explosion, and frame, Bartell projects as an edge defender or hybrid linebacker as he fills out. He’s already an elite rusher. I would have enjoyed seeing him drop into coverage, but he’ll have plenty of opportunities to do so this season as a sophomore at Mankato West.
