Our new senior rankings have been released & yet again, it's another deep and talented class with tons of future college prospects spread throughout the state. Below we give you an in-depth look at our new TN Top 150.

It's been a long process in the lab but we have finally made it, our new #TN2024 prospect rankings are here and it's one of the deepest classes we have had yet.

Breaking down highlights after highlights, we have gone through as many prospects as possible with still many more to go but we have started with our initial 150 and we have some talented prospects in these rankings with a few guys already headed to the Power Five ranks and others sitting way under the radar.

#TN2024 Prospect Rankings

Defensive Prospects Stand Strong Within Top 150

- At this point throughout the 2024 process, the defensive prospects from our in-state class stand stronger than their counterparts on offense with multiple positions running deep with players destined for the Power Five, D1 ranks.

All three main positions in the defensive line, linebackers and defensive backs all have deeper position groups compared to the offense with the top ranked defensive prospect at #2 overall in Lipscomb Academy linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='150276' first='Edwin' last='Spillman']. The Mustangs defender is a bonafide Power Five prospect that could be close to making his college decision.

Looking at the overall Top 150, all three main defensive positions are well represented with the linebackers having the most prospects ranked with 28 total. Right behind the backers are the defensive backs, placing 25 total prospects inside our new #TN2024 rankings with the D-line coming in third with 20 total linemen.

This is the best defensive class we have had in this state in quite some years as most of the prospects from this side of the ball inside the Top 150 sport the abilities to play D1 football and some with the potential to take things further than the college gridiron.

Look for the defensive side of the ball to grow even deeper as the summer camp months roll along and we start to get into the Fall football season as more prospects emerge and place themselves on the recruiting map.

-----------------

Solid Group of QB's for #TN2024

- Last year's crop of quarterbacks was once in lifetime when it comes to this state's history, so it will be hard to follow that group but the #TN2024 isn't too shabby, sporting multiple Power Five, D1 talents. It was a tough call for the #1 spot but after tons of film watching, I had to give the nod to Collierville 6'3 passer [player_tooltip player_id='258673' first='Aidan' last='Glover']. The Dragons senior signal caller has great size, tremendous arm strength and the mobility to work in and out of the pocket.

Fighting Glover for that top spot is Baylor state title winning quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='323145' first='Whit' last='Muschamp']. Ranking 2nd inside his position group and 12th overall, Muschamp is a winner, a warrior behind center that simply knows how to win football games and you can see do so in college at Vanderbilt.

For the entire quarterback position, we have 11 prospects ranked inside our Top 150 with nine of them placing within the Top 100. Coming up right behind Muschamp at 30th overall is McCallie quarterback and future Vanderbilt Commodore, [player_tooltip player_id='287027' first='Jeremy' last='St-Hilaire']. Rounding out the Top 50 is Hardin Co. signal caller [player_tooltip player_id='207322' first='Carter' last='Smith'], who holds an offer from Pittsburgh and places at 38th overall.

Finishing out the quarterbacks inside our Top 150 is [player_tooltip player_id='148864' first='Cody' last='Pagach'] at 66th overall, [player_tooltip player_id='119096' first='Braden' last='Graham'] (6th/70th), [player_tooltip player_id='362072' first='Braden' last='Streeter'] (7th/75th), [player_tooltip player_id='207312' first='Brady' last='Hammonds'] (8th/80th), [player_tooltip player_id='268184' first='Joshuah' last='Keith'] (9th/89th), [player_tooltip player_id='311787' first='Cade' last='Carlson'] (10th/106th) and [player_tooltip player_id='268180' first='Knox' last='Roberts'] becoming the last ranked passer, coming in ranked 133rd.

Overall, this is a solid class with every guy listed above sporting the abilities to place P5, D1 or FCS football along with some others coming not ranked having the same kind of upside. We shall see how this group progresses throughout the coming month but right now, this is a good sign that the quarterback position is developing and growing in a great direction throughout this state.

------------------

Deepest Position Group: Linebackers

- This is one of the best crop of linebackers that we have had in some years with this position group sporting the most ranked prospects inside our new #TN2024 rankings at 28 and most of those 28 having the abilities to play Power Five, D1 or FCS football. You have a great mixture of variety spread throughout the linebacker position between edge speed rushers or run stuffers in the middle that have the physical traits that collegiate coaches are looking for.

Spillman leads the way for the backers at #2 overall, helping this position place the most prospects inside the Top 50 for our 1st edition. Right behind Spillman inside the Top 10 at 8th overall is McCallie backer and current Tennessee commit, [player_tooltip player_id='149842' first='Carson' last='Gentle']. He is a big, physical edge rusher that brings a lot of value to the defensive side of the ball. Red Bank edge rusher [player_tooltip player_id='237054' first='Kobe' last='Smith'] comes in at 3rd within the position group and 22nd overall. This guy has big time potential and some of the best bend you will find in this state coming off the edge.

Rounding out the Top 50 for the linebackers are (in order) [player_tooltip player_id='207299' first='Steven' last='Soles, Jr'] (4th/24th overall), [player_tooltip player_id='228694' first='Crews' last='Law'] (5th/27th), [player_tooltip player_id='258668' first='D.J.' last='Allen'] (6th/28th), [player_tooltip player_id='362094' first='A.J.' last='Barbat'] (7th/35th), [player_tooltip player_id='149383' first='Mason' last='Curtis'] (8th/37th), [player_tooltip player_id='287770' first='Elijah' last='Fauteux'] (9th/41st) and [player_tooltip player_id='228698' first='Lance' last='Taylor'] from M.A.S.E., coming in at 49th overall.

We can't just talk about Top 10 backers in this state and look past the others as this is a very deep position group with several prospects having the potential to develop this summer and rise up within our next updated rankings.

Rounding out the Top 100 for the linebackers starts with [player_tooltip player_id='332217' first='Elijah' last='Groves'] from East Robertson, coming in at 53rd overall. Placing behind him is [player_tooltip player_id='149382' first='Jack' last='Alley'] (12th/58th), [player_tooltip player_id='149400' first='Whittman' last='Whaley'] (13th/62nd), [player_tooltip player_id='278377' first='Korey' last='Smith'] (14th/67th), [player_tooltip player_id='400655' first='Grace'son' last='Beach'] (15th/69th), [player_tooltip player_id='240022' first='Jayden' last='Bachelor'] (16th/85th), [player_tooltip player_id='306265' first='Eli' last='Myers'] (17th/95th) and top close out the Top 100, [player_tooltip player_id='149387' first='Jaylon' last='Sanderfer'] comes in at 96th overall and the 18th best linebacker in the state

100-150: [player_tooltip player_id='308781' first='Philippe' last='Bouthot'] - McCallie (19th/103rd), [player_tooltip player_id='372301' first='Landon' last='Feggins'] - McMinn Co. (20th/105th), [player_tooltip player_id='150287' first='Caden' last='Marshall'] - Henry Co. (21st/109th), [player_tooltip player_id='433119' first='Joseph' last='Guzman'] - Riverdale (22nd/111th), [player_tooltip player_id='754778' first='Ian' last='Carrethers'] (23rd/119th), [player_tooltip player_id='465287' first='Anderson' last='Smith'] - Knox. West (24th/122nd), [player_tooltip player_id='306578' first='Amanuel' last='Dickson'] - Greeneville (25th/123rd), [player_tooltip player_id='510637' first='Antione' last='Keefer, Jr'] - Southwind (26th/132nd), [player_tooltip player_id='286596' first='Gavin' last='Helton'] - MUS (27th/136th) and [player_tooltip player_id='331623' first='Jake' last='Moore'] - MBA (28th/146th)

-------------------

Another Talented O-line Class in Tennessee

- The beef within the trenches inside this state keeps growing and getting better year after year and for the #TN2024 class, we have yet another strong group up front that has a variety of options for your liking. The tackle class is strong this year with the interior being better in 2022. Last year's class was also deeper at this time of the year compared to the 2024 class but plenty of time remains for more guys to develop and become college level based recruits.

This year's crop is top heavy with ten prospects ranked within the Top 51 players in the state. Page senior tackle/guard [player_tooltip player_id='149171' first='Ronan' last='O'Connell'] is the top man at his position, coming in at 7th overall and someone that could even rise into the Top 5 as time goes on. Following up right behind is CPA senior [player_tooltip player_id='149856' first='John' last='Wayne Oliver']. Ranked 9th overall, this guy has been one of the hottest recruits in the state at his position over the last several months and someone that has grown into a national recruit.

Recently committing to North Carolina, FRA offensive tackle [player_tooltip player_id='488808' first='Luke' last='Masterson'] comes in ranked 18th overall and someone who still has the potential to see his stock and ranking rise over the coming months. Two Memphis area O-linemen placed next at 23rd and 25th overall in Collierville tackle/guard [player_tooltip player_id='462638' first='Robert' last='Bourdon'] and Lausanne tackle/guard [player_tooltip player_id='149188' first='Luke' last='Work']. All three of these guys are bonafide Power Five talents that should remain inside the PRZTN Top 30 rankings throughout the entire cycle.

Rounding out the Top 50 for the big men on offense is MTCS senior [player_tooltip player_id='277659' first='Jesse' last='Perry'], coming in at 32nd overall. Maryville tackle/guard [player_tooltip player_id='305914' first='Blake' last='Heckmann'] comes in next 39th, [player_tooltip player_id='207325' first='Kison' last='Shepard'] at 42nd, [player_tooltip player_id='258681' first='Jake' last='Riggs'] from Oakland at 50th and placing 51st overall is Peabody tackle/guard [player_tooltip player_id='149178' first='Ace' last='Meadows'].

Some offensive linemen to keep an eye on moving forward, who is ranked between 52nd and 100th are [player_tooltip player_id='149184' first='Jason' last='Overton'] (11th OL/72nd), [player_tooltip player_id='149181' first='Andrew' last='Pedersen'] (12th/77th), [player_tooltip player_id='362085' first='Tyson' last='Matthews'] (13th/79th), [player_tooltip player_id='305915' first='Graham' last='Gilmer'] (14th/82nd), Darris Talley (15th/86th), [player_tooltip player_id='390595' first='Cole' last='Cash'] (16th/87th), [player_tooltip player_id='497350' first='Tracy' last='Jackson'] (17th/93rd) and Oakland senior [player_tooltip player_id='149187' first='Duce' last='Hewitt'] (18th/94th).

------------------

This & That: Rankings Notes

- One position that needs a little more love in these rankings is the wide receivers. Coming off a banner year last cycle where the wideouts were deep and strong, this go-around, the #TN2024 pass catchers aren't as talented but definitely have some playmakers to pay attention to. Your top ranked wideout currently is Jefferson but right behind him are three top tier wideouts that have Power Five abilities.

Ranked 2nd within the receivers, Knox. Webb senior [player_tooltip player_id='219041' first='Markeis' last='Barrett'] is legit, Lipscomb playmaker [player_tooltip player_id='337300' first='Dillon' last='Lorick'] can fly and he has size while Oak Ridge pass catcher [player_tooltip player_id='149157' first='Brandon' last='Heyward'] is elusive and a perfect option for the slot.

Two athletic and fast wideouts to know about ranked inside our Top 70 is [player_tooltip player_id='193750' first='D'Arious' last='Reed'] (ranked 43rd) from Pearl Cohn and Whitehaven senior speedster Kedarious Jones (ranked 65th). Both of these playmakers are the kind of talents that can rise in the next rankings due to their tremendous athletic abilities.

Photo: Oakridger.com

- The running backs aren't as deep this year but have some guys that are must follow.
