rnAt the top of my list of notable performers is , a defensive lineman at Riverdale High School. What impresses me about Guzman is his ability to utilize his speed and strength at the line of scrimmage, proving he can slip past openings in the pocket to apply pressure on and sack the quarterback. I also like Guzman’s ability to read the pass and protect the backfield, showing off his ability to catch the rush from along the edge and make commanding stops in crucial situations. I also like Guzman’s ability to overpower the offensive line, using his physical edge to bully the opposition.

Making the move to Riverdale for his senior season, Guzman is a true underrated talent that sports the physique and athletic abilities that translate very well to the collegiate level but has yet to break through with offers. What this senior defender does the best is playing the edge and rushing after the quarterback. Guzman shows on film tremendous burst off the edge and the ability to bend around the blocker and close fast on the quarterback. He also does a good against the run, setting the edge with his long arms and upper body strength then releasing, showing off his range as he chases down the ball. The Warriors linebacker is still developing his body and learning the game but he has the potential and upside to turn into a feared pass rusher on the college gridiron. Look for this Mid-Tennessee talent to build serious recruiting steam this summer as coaches get a chance to see him and work with him in person.

The Warriors are bringing in a strong, violent pass rusher to their defense for the coming Fall season with this Mid-Tennessee talent who is one of the more underrated defensive prospects from the #TN2024 class. Guzman is a physical competitor that plays with his hair on fire and a motor that doesn’t slow down till the final whistle. It’s not just his motor that makes him such an underrated pass rusher but it’s also because of his long arms, active hands and ability to bend around the corner. Guzman is a well versed pass rusher that knows how to use his broad upper body and hands along with his speed to give opposing offensive linemen fits. He has the range to run down the quarterback or ball carrier as well, so Guzman could work either side of the line as a stand up linebacker. His recruitment has yet to take off but maybe after his film gets around more and he performs well this summer in camps, Guzman could see his recruiting stock take a major rise.
