This was a tough call between two guys but Allen took the honor due to a monster senior season that landed him on the Power Four level at Purdue. The Red Devils senior edge rusher produced 75 tackles on the year with 15 tackles for loss, 3 forced fumbles and 17 sacks on the one the best defenses in the state for the 2023 season. A lot of this production I feel was a dedication in the off-season in the weight room as Allen added good size that allowed him to play physical, breakaway from blocks and use his burst to get after the ball. Those traits should find its way on the field for the Boilermakers in time as Allen proved to be one of the best defensive prospects from our #TN2024 class.

Allen has been one of the hottest defensive recruits over the past few months and it’s for good reason as this West Tennessee has great size and arm length along with the bend and speed off the edge that works very well on the college gridiron. The Red Devils senior defender put forth a breakout junior season where he displayed the ability to get after the quarterback but I think more importantly, showed the strength and balance to shut down the outside run game. Allen has a strong upper base and the arm length to extend and detach from blockers and either bring down the ball carrier or chase after the passer. His recruiting stock continues to rise even as I type this, so Allen is a definite name to follow as someone that is beginning to reach national recruit status.

Ever since we ended the 2022 Fall football season, Allen has been on a major rise with his recruiting stock, landing offers from the likes of Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Purdue, Temple and UCF and others based his potential as a fearful pass rusher on the collegiate level. Sporting great length, radius and size, Allen has all the physical traits you want while also having a nice burst and bend that will only develop further with college coaching. Look for this Red Devils edge rusher to continue bringing in Power Five offers as the offseason months roll along.
