Anderson had a stellar junior season where he showed off his ability to get after the passer with some of the best burst in the state, which in turn has made him a future North Carolina Tar Heel. The Red Devils edge defender ranks as a Top 30 in-state prospect based on his pure speed off the edge and the physical mindset and game play that he brings to his position. Anderson is tough to handle for offensive tackles because of his 6’2 size, burst and physicality and that’s why the North Carolina staff pursued him hard. The great thing about Anderson is he’s still developing and building his body, so his best football is certainly ahead of him.

It has been a tremendous offseason so far for Anderson where he has taken his stock into Power Five status as he recently gave his commitment to the North Carolina Tar Heels. Physical and fast off the edge with an active motor, Anderson sports one of the fastest 1st steps off the snap in the state and the Tar Heels coaching staff recognized those skills early and pursued him as a must needed recruit. Anderson is tough to handle due to his athleticism, strength and speed and I would not be surprised to see other P5 schools try to steal him away from UNC over the coming months.
