This big man who is headed to Tennessee next year, paved the way for Wilson and his 190 yards on the ground as well as made several big tackles up front on defense that helped slow down the Friendship rushing attack. Perry was tasked to play both ways this season and he did so at a high level. He took the responsibility of being the warrior up front that took on each team’s best big man and he more than handled himself, Perry developed into one of the best O-line prospects in the state. He displayed those talents Thursday afternoon where he manhandled Commander defenders up front, allowing his running backs open lanes. Even though Perry competed on the D2-Class A level, I can see this guy developing into a formidable starter during his time in Knoxville and possibly an All-Conference performer.

Perry is an established guy at this point with his commitment to Tennessee but after looking over his current senior film, this guy has a chance to become a stud and a multi year starter during his time in Knoxville. Where this Murfreesboro area offensive tackle has shown the most improvement is with his power. Perry is dominating opponents this year and now shows a strong transition from speed to power with his blocking. He anchors well then establishes good footing to drive his main into the second level. The potential has grown as well when it comes to Perry handling the blind side but I still feel his biggest upside resides at right tackle or even inside at guard. The Cougars senior has filled out very well and I believe will continue to shape his body and frame when he gets into the Volunteers weight and nutrition system turning him into the kind of player that can excel in the Southeastern Conference. Recently taking himself off the recruiting board by pledging to the Tennessee Vols, Perry is a high upside prospect who has the potential to stay at tackle in the college game and the talents to develop himself into an eventual SEC starter. Perry is a big dude at 6’7 280 pounds plus but has the nimble lower body and overall athletic abilities to develop into a nice pass blocking tackle at Tennessee with the possibility of staying on the left side. If all fails on the outside, Perry has the potential to move inside and excel at guard. He does need to keep at more weight and continue developing but you can see why Tennessee and many other Power Five programs were after this Mid-Tennessee product.
