LeBlanc is a mismatch problem for most defenders he comes across and on Thursday evening that remained the same as the Canadian native hauled in several tough catches against a talented McCallie secondary. The Red Raiders senior tight end is an athletic guy that can be flexed out in the slot and that’s where the Baylor coaches used him a lot against the Blue Tornado, where it proved to be a good decision as LeBlanc was a major mismatch against nickelbacks and linebackers. Ohio St. is getting a good one here who I think has the potential and upside to take his talents beyond college ball and into the pro’s. LeBlanc has to keep learning and developing but the talent is most definitely to become someone special.

Works hard to engage and stick with his man through the whistle. Generally does a good job of keeping his hands inside and driving his legs after contact; technique actually allows him to create an impressive push for a player of his size. Understands positioning and can wall off opponents. Keeps his head on a swivel when retained in pass protection. Occasionally lined up split out in the slot, and looked good there. Good athlete who accelerates smoothly and has enough speed to threaten down the seams. Fundamentally sound route runner. Has clean footwork to release at the line of scrimmage and knows how to use his size to shield defenders from the ball. Able to adjust to off-target throws. Nice concentration to come down with catches through contact. Looks good as a runner, making defenders pay and even showing a little bit of elusiveness.

One of the top five overall prospects from the #TN2024 class, LeBlanc is a big time pass catching threat on offense that will be playing his college next year at Ohio State University. This Red Raiders senior tight end brings a nice combination of athleticism, physicality and size to the football field along with the upside to take his talents beyond the college gridiron. LeBlanc burst onto the scene last year as a junior, becoming a top target for his quarterback while becoming a key force that helped lead the Red Raiders to a D2-Class AAA state title. This Canadian native has all the physical abilities and traits to become a starter early in his Buckeyes career while establishing himself as possibly one of the best tight ends inside the college game.
