Brewer’s athletic profile immediately stands out when evaluating his film. His loose hips and fluid movement skills allow him to mirror ball carriers effectively while maintaining strong positioning in space. That athleticism pairs with a twitchy first step that helps him close down plays quickly.
What makes Brewer particularly intriguing is his ability to diagnose plays, especially against option looks and play-action concepts. He shows a strong feel for reading keys and reacting quickly without losing control of his pursuit angles. Combined with his ability to chip pullers and maintain the edge, Brewer shows the tools to develop into a high-impact linebacker at the next level

is a really talented 2030 over at Madison Academy who’s already making an impact at EDGE.
“At 6’1 197, Brewer already has the size, length, and speed to create chaos in the trenches. He’s quick off the snap, has impressive speed and power, and a smart head on his shoulders that knows how to make the biggest impact on every snap.
I’m incredibly impressed with Brewer’s versatility, especially with how young he is. He’s already shown he can rush the passer, defend the run, and even drop back into coverage to make plays on the ball. We all need to keep an eye on this kid, I think he’ll take off over the next few seasons.”
Only an eighth grader, Brewer is already standing out on tape. I’m excited to watch him moving forward, he’s a talented prospect with tons of room to grow/develop.

I was also very impressed with Edward Brewer, an edge/running back at Madison Academy. Brewer, a prospect out of Alabama, was one of the younger prospects in attendance, but that did not stop him from instantly catching my attention during positional drills. What I liked about Brewer’s playstyle was his athleticism and physical edge. Brewer made the most of his reps, using his footwork and wingspan to combat the offensive line and find a way around his opponent.
