Bowman is an extremely talented sophomore cornerback who’s progressed well from his freshman year to now. He holds a bit too much, but he’s gotten better at that as the season goes on. That’s about all the negatives you can point out for him.

Bowman has nice size, is highly athletic, and plays good coverage. He has swift hips and moves well, so he excels at the outside corner spot.

Xavier Bowman Xavier Bowman 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB Knoxville Catholic | 2028 State TN has added some length and grown into his frame some as he begins his sophmore season. He is a physical corner that is best at playing tight coverage from the second the ball is snapped. He did have a couple holding penalities and will need to limit the lapses with his hands and trust his recovery ability more, but the potential he holds is high if he can consistently play with positive hand placement.
