JP Eto’o is an interesting tailback prospect with the tools to be a strong part of a running back rotation at the college level.
Listed at 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, he has a very good frame that can make defenders bounce off him if they attempt to tackle high.
He is a good linear athlete with impressive build-up speed. He has the ability to plant his leg in the ground and cut upfield, which projects him best working in a wide zone offense.
Arguably the most intriguing thing about him is his versatility and ability find value on the football field in a variety of ways. He has been a high-level blocker as both a fullback and tight end this season, leading the way for the top rushing offense in the state. He also consistently puts the ball through the end zone for touchbacks on kickoffs and has experience on defense as well.

this offseason. Well, after watching him get some carries against Brentwood Academy in the ‘26 season opener, those positive thoughts were reinforced. I’m a big fan of his game, and even though he’s sharing the backfield with DGG, he should make an impact in this Baylor offense.
He offers a stout frame, standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 215 pounds. Eto’o runs with great power and physicality, while having nice speed to blend with his strong style. The 2027 prospect saw a good number of carries, despite being behind David Gabriel Georges. Eto’o is very elusive with the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield, making him a complete player.
He is stuck behind Gabriel Georges, right now, but the skillset is there for a majority of college football programs to appreciate, putting together a productive season last year while in Canada.
He is a tall running back around at least 6-foot-1 and he tends to run upright at times, but he can explode out of cuts whether running up the middle or to the outside. That cutting ability has the potential to make him a third down option out of the backfield and his size suggests he could develop into a solid pass protector.
He is due for a breakout soon and college programs will take notice of his increasingly valuable skillet of a downhill runner with very good size, athleticism, and cutting ability.
