A heat seeking missile with bad intentions, Williams is one of the biggest hitters from the safety position within the #TN2024 class and so far through his senior season, the Firebirds senior has been sensational, taking his game to another level and showing why he is a legit D1 recruit. Aggression, football smarts and violence are three traits you immediately see when you turn on the tape. Williams is playing like his hair is on fire right now, showing up around the ball on a consistent basis while being that playmaker from his safety position. The Firebirds defender shows excellent closing speed and he definitely finishes through the play. He might be a tad undersized for some coaches’ liking but trust me this guy is a baller that simply knows how to play football and do so at a high level.

Patient, does not bite on ball fakes, and correctly diagnoses plays. Fires up the field, aggressively defends the run, and drives his shoulders through ball handlers.
Keeps the action in front of him, tracks the pass in the air, and has a nice move to the ball. Quickly gets out to the sidelines to assist cornerbacks in coverage. Communicates well with his teammates in the secondary. Shows good range and explosiveness and wraps up tackling.

One of the more underrated talents in the entire state, Williams is a hard hitting, violent competitor that brings a physical brand of football to the field that should be warranting more offers at the moment but so far, nothing has arrived. That will change over the next few months as Williams is too talented to be looked past much longer as he brings a lot of value to the secondary as not just as a hitter but as an athletic playmaker with ball hawk tendencies. Williams shows nice range and closing speed on film along with quick instincts that tends to put himself around the ball on a consistent basis. Lacking the offers, Williams may be a tad undersized at 5’10 but he is plenty big enough to get the job done and eventually develop into a starting college safety down the road. You should be hearing more recruiting news about this Nashville area defender very soon!

As we head into the summer camps month, Williams is probably one of the more underrated, non-offered prospects we have from the entire #TN2024 class and a safety prospect with the talents to be recruited by Division One programs. A hard hitter with closing speed, Williams is a violent competitor who loves hitting people and uses his athleticism and speed to play close to the line as much as possible. Once you get into his sights, Williams lays the wood on you then gets back up to find somebody else to hit. This Nashville native is not just a physical hitter but he is also a good athlete that can make plays all over the secondary. Williams shows strong instincts on film finding the ball then creating havoc. If he is not hitting someone and jarring the ball loose, the Firebirds safety is deflecting passes or picking them off. If you’re looking for one reason as to why Williams doesn’t hold offers yet, it may be because of his size. This secondary defender stands about 5’9 to 5’10, so he doesn’t have the ideal 6’0 and above look that most college safeties poses but this dude can play and his film shows it as he has some of the best safety highlights from the #TN2024 class. Williams also provides nice versatility to the secondary as he could definitely lock down things at strong safety but he could also slide over to free or possibly dominate playing nickelback. I fully expect the Firebirds senior to not only put forth a strong showing during camp season this summer but also continue to establish himself as one of the best safeties in the state during the upcoming Fall football year.
