Making the move from DCA down to Murfreesboro, Jones is headed to a new situation where it should help him flourish and maintain his status as the #1 ranked running back for the #TN2024 class. Well balanced with nice speed and strength, Jones has just about every tool you want in a starting running back and he is just getting started as this guy is a worker that enjoys the process. Once this guy gets going down hill, Jones is hard to stop. He is well built, playing a physical brand of football, so he has no problem lowering the shoulder and running over defenders. Jones also has the ability to break the big one, showing on film nice breakaway speed. This is a well rounded football player that does just about everything right and would be an outstanding addition to anyone’s football team and locker room.

Scouting Report: This is one of the more productive backs in the state as we head into the Fall football year and the scary thing about this Mid-Tennessee prospect is that Jones might be in store for his best season yet. Moving down to Murfreesboro to play his senior year for state power Oakland, Jones is headed to a great situation where his running style will be on full display under one of the best rushing offenses in the state. He is a no nonsense runner, meaning once he touches the ball, Jones runs full steam ahead with his shoulder lowered and his feet ready to shift past the defender. Jones is a well balanced running back that can run with power or use his athleticism and speed to get by the defense. His hard running style and his vision are two traits that stand out immediately when turning on his film. Jones runs exceptionally hard and does not shy away from contact. He is balanced enough to take the hit and continue moving forward while maintaining his speed and vision. The Patriots senior star can run, so don’t get it twisted when thinking Jones ran the ball on the D2-Class A level as this dude has the speed to hit the open field and find the end zone every time he touches the ball. This is a natural runner that has a great feel for making positive plays with the ball in his grasp and brings a variety of strong traits to the field that translate well to the next level. Jones is a good receiver coming out of the backfield that will improve further the more he matures while I also think he has the potential to develop into a solid pass blocker as well. You don’t have to worry about him not working either as Jones is a grinder that desires to be the best, so work ethic is no problem here. Overall, Jones is a well rounded prospect that has the talents and upside to compete on the D1 collegiate level.College Projection: D1, FCS
